    Advice: Springer brought the first run in to score for the Blue Jays, knocking a base hit in the second inning before scoring on a single by Spencer Horwitz. Springer then drew a walk to lead off the fourth and cross home plate to score on a single by Isiah Kiner-Falefa.     Advice: Seager was back in the lineup as the DH after being scratched Thursday due to ongoing issues with his hamstring. The one time he did reach base Friday -- a two-out, eighth-inning walk -- he was lifted for a pinch runner. That likely means manager Bruce Bochy didn't want to risk aggravating the injury while trying to score a tying run, so the manager went with the speedier Travis Jankowski. Brown generated 15 swings and misses on 96 pitches on the night — four or more on each of his sinker, cutter and slider — while registering a strong CSW of 34 percent.
