    • José Ramirez has two hits, HR in win over Mets
José Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramirez’s home run was a 380-foot shot off Adrian Houser at 101.5 mph off the bat for his 12th big fly of the season. He also added a two-out RBI double to give him 44 RBI on the season. The batting average may not be what fantasy managers are hoping for, but Ramirez is hitting the ball well and should be back to something resembling his usual triple slash in no time. • Homer, three RBI in win
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and an RBI double in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.

Advice: Ramirez extended Cleveland's lead to 3-0 in the third inning with a two-out double before cranking a two-run homer off Adrian Houser in the fifth, his 12th of the year. The 31-year-old Ramirez has gone 12-for-32 (.375) with three home runs and 13 RBI in his last eight contests. His slash line is up to .258/.305/.495 with 44 RBI, 31 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 210 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Nolan Jones dealing with right knee soreness
Nolan Jones (back) has paused a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque due to right knee soreness.

Advice: Jones underwent a precautionary MRI that came back clean, but will still have his rehab assignment paused for at least a few days to rest and recover before getting back into game action. The 26-year-old slugger has been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain after slashing a lackluster .170/.243/.277 with one homer and two steals in 26 contests. • Rehab halted
Jones (back) has had his rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque paused because of right knee soreness stemming from a slide, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A MRI came back clean for Jones, who hasn't played for Albuquerque since Friday. The outfielder was placed on the 10-day injured list April 30 with a lower-back strain and had just started his rehab assignment Wednesday. It seemed like the 26-year-old was nearing a return and was trending toward being activated after Albuquerque's game Sunday, but this latest development scuttled that timeline. • Running bases
Lewis (quadriceps) ran the bases Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: After starting with some light running last week, Lewis was able to run the bases for the first time Monday as he continues to rehab from a right quad strain. It's expected that Lewis will need a rehab assignment before returning, which could push his timetable for return into early June. Rotowire.com Today, 1:42 pm

    • Austin Riley remains out Tuesday vs. Cubs
Austin Riley (side) is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Cubs.

Advice: No surprise here as Riley will miss his eighth straight contest due to an ongoing side issue after sitting out both contests of Monday’s doubleheader. There’s been zero indication that he’ll wind up requiring a trip to the injured list, despite the fact that he’s yet to resume swinging a bat. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but it doesn’t sound like the Braves are going to make a roster move at this juncture. It’ll be Zack Short drawing another start at the keystone on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field. Rotoworld Today, 1:41 pm

    • Remains out of lineup
Riley (intercostal) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Cubs.

Advice: Riley hasn't played since May 12 because of left intercostal inflammation. Atlanta has resisted putting its third baseman on the 10-day injured list so far, and at this point, it would appear the team will continue to wait things out. He was cleared to take soft swings in the batting cage Tuesday, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com, so Riley at least appears to be making progress in his recovery. Zack Short will again be at the hot corner Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:39 pm

    • Royce Lewis (quad) making progress in recovery
Royce Lewis (quad) progressed to running the bases on Monday.

Advice: Lewis will be re-evaluated later this week to determine where he’s at in his rehabilitation process from a severe right quad strain that he suffered back on Opening Day. The 24-year-old is getting close to starting a minor league rehab assignment and could return at some point next month, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Today, 1:35 pm

    • Gerrit Cole (elbow) not ruling out June return
Gerrit Cole (elbow) faced hitters on Tuesday in a 22-pitch live batting practice session.

Advice: Cole told reporters afterwards that he came out of facing hitters for the first time since landing on the injured list back in spring training without any issues. The 33-year-old fantasy ace added that he wouldn’t rule out a potential return at some point next month. He’ll presumably face hitters a couple more times before heading out for a handful of minor league rehab starts to build up his pitch count and stamina. Rotoworld Today, 1:31 pm
