    • Struggles continue Thursday
Riley went 0-for-5 with a strikeout in Thursday's win over the Orioles.

Advice: The third baseman's been dropped down to fifth in the order, even with lefty-hander Cole Irvin on the mound for Baltimore on Thursday, but it hasn't helped wake up Riley's bat. His last homer came May 3, and in 16 games since he returned from an intercostal strain he's slashing just .161/.212/.194 with two RBI and a 4:17 BB:K. Riley's track record says he will heat up at some point this summer, and his Statcast profile suggests there's a great deal of bad luck contributing to his numbers this season -- he's in the 91st percentile in max exit velocity, 90th percentile in bat speed and 82nd percentile in hard-hit rate. • Royce Lewis making fourth straight start Thursday
Royce Lewis is at third base and batting third for Thursday’s series opener against the Athletics.

Advice: It’s a notable development that Lewis is making his fourth straight start after being eased back into game action last week following a lengthy absence due to a severe quad injury. The 25-year-old emerging fantasy stalwart is batting .321 (9-for-28) with four homers and seven RBI in eight games since returning back on June 4. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:26 pm

    • Goes deep Wednesday
Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs in a 10-4 victory versus Miami on Wednesday.

Advice: Lindor opened the bottom of the first inning with a double and subsequently scored on Harrison Bader's home run. The shortstop hit a long ball of his own in the eighth frame, going 414 feet to center field. Lindor has disappointed a bit this season after notching his first 30-30 campaign last year, though with 11 homers and nine steals he's one theft away from reaching double digits in both categories -- something only seven MLB players have done so far this season. • Locks down 12th save
Doval earned the save Wednesday against the Astros, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Doval's held opponents scoreless in six of his last seven outings while improving to 12-for-14 in save opportunities this year. He lowered his ERA to 3.62 with a 1.54 WHIP and 35:19 K:BB across 27.1 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:27 pm

    • Falls to Giants
Valdez (5-4) took the loss Wednesday against San Francisco, allowing five runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out one.

Advice: It was a tough day for Valdez, who allowed two runs in the third inning before the Giants scored three more in the fourth. The 30-year-old Valdez had allowed just five runs in three starts (22 innings) coming into Wednesday's matchup. The left-hander now sports a 3.99 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP and 51:19 K:BB across 67.2 innings this year. Valdez will look to rebound in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week on the road versus the White Sox. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:21 pm

    • Hits go-ahead homer in win
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Advice: With the Cubs trailing 2-1 with two outs in the seventh inning, Bellinger changed the game with a three-run home run off Tampa Bay reliever Garrett Cleavinger then added a single in the ninth. While the homer was his first in June, Bellinger now has four straight multi-hit efforts for a total of five in 10 contests this month. On the season, Bellinger is slashing .267/.324/.456 with nine home runs and 32 RBI in 238 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:41 pm

    • Cody Bellinger powers Cubs past Rays
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-5 and hit a three-run homer in the seventh to lead the Cubs to a 4-3 victory over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: The homer came off Garrett Cleavinger, a lefty who hadn’t previously allowed one in 27 innings this season. It was Bellinger’s ninth in 54 games. He’s not doing anything quite as well as he did last year, but that was probably to be expected. He’s still been a fine regular for the Cubs, and he might offer more to fantasy leaguers if he gets back to stealing more bases; he has three right now after finishing with 20 last year. • Homer, three hits in win
Lewis went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double and three total runs scored in Wednesday's 17-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Lewis made his presence felt in Minnesota's 24-hit outburst -- he was one of eight Twins to record two or more hits, including a two-run homer off Angel Chivilli to extend the lead to 10-3. Since returning from a 10-week stint on the IL with a quad injury, Lewis has gone 9-for-28 (.321) with four homers and seven RBI across eight games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:41 pm

    • Next rehab start set
Cole (elbow) will make a third rehab a start Friday with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw 57 pitches over 4.2 innings during his second rehab outing Sunday, and he'll move up to the Triple-A level as he continues building up his workload. Manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday, "we'll see" when asked if it will be Cole's final rehab start, so it's possible he's cleared to make his season debut for the Yankees next week.
