    • Reaches 200 career homers
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: His blast in the fifth inning off Sonny Gray capped the scoring for the Mets in an eventual 7-4 loss. It was Alonso's 200th career homer, putting him in very select company -- only Darryl Strawberry, David Wright and Mike Piazza have also reached that milestone in a Mets uniform. Alonso has played in every game this season for New York, slashing .248/.336/.505 over 27 contests with eight home runs, 14 RBI and 20 runs scored. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:50 am

    • Pete Alonso blasts eighth homer in loss to Cardinals
Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 7-4 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Alonso cut the Cardinals lead to two runs with a two-run blast off Sonny Gray in the fifth inning. It was the eighth homer of the season for the 29-year-old slugger. He’s slashing .252/325/.515 with 14 RBI across 114 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:36 pm

    • Luis Arraez posts three hits in loss to Braves
Luis Arraez went 3-for-5 with a run scored on Wednesday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Braves.

Advice: Just like that, Arraez is batting .299 (32-for-107) after notching his seventh multi-hit performance in the last two weeks. He sparked Miami’s ninth-inning rally against Braves stopper Raisel Iglesias with a leadoff single to cap off a three-hit effort. He’s in the midst of an extended hot streak at the moment and it wouldn’t be surprising at all if he were back in the batting title race in a few weeks. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:32 pm

    • Luis Arraez tallies two hits in loss to Braves
Luis Arraez went 2-for-4 in the Marlins’ loss to the Braves.

Advice: There’s not much to say here, as Arraez’s two hits made up all but one of the Marlins’ hits in the shutout loss. Arraez has now hit safely in three straight games and has eight hits over his last five. He’s hitting just .284 on the year, but his 29 hits are still good for top 10 in the league. • Kris Bryant (back) won’t return this week
Kris Bryant (back) has yet to resume baseball activities.

Advice: If there’s a positive takeaway here it’s that Rockies manager Bud Black didn’t seem too concerned on Tuesday while speaking with reporters, adding that there’s no talk of surgery for Bryant, and he hasn’t undergone any additional testing or imaging. The 32-year-old is eligible to return from the injured list this week, but that won’t happen. He remains shut down as he continues to recover from a lower back strain. Rotoworld Tuesday, 4:38 pm

    • No baseball work yet
Rockies manager Bud Black said Tuesday that Bryant (back) is not participating in baseball activities and won't be reinstated from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Wednesday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Advice: There apparently isn't much concern about the back strain being a serious issue since Bryant hasn't been sent for medical imaging, but the lower-back strain will still keep him sidelined for the near future. The 32-year-old doesn't have an official timeline for his return and should be considered out indefinitely until he resumes baseball activities. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:51 pm

    • Swats solo shot Monday
Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Giants.

Advice: Alonso accounted for the Mets' first run with a fifth-inning solo blast to left field. The long ball snapped a seven-game homerless drought for the slugger, and he had gone just 4-for-26 with one RBI during that stretch. Alonso still leads the team -- and is tied for third in the majors -- with seven homers on the campaign, though he's knocked in just 12 runs. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:38 pm

    • Pete Alonso hits seventh homer against Giants
Pete Alonso went 2-for-4 and homered against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Unfortunately, Alonso couldn’t come through again in the ninth, when the Mets scored once off Camilo Doval but still fell three runs short. Alonso is tied for third in the majors with seven homers. Rotoworld Apr 22, 9:16 pm
