    • Registers sixth save
Megill earned a save against the Astros on Saturday, allowing one hit and striking out three baters over one inning.

Advice: Megill gave up a two-out single to Jake Meyers but was otherwise dominant, recording all three of his outs via strikeout. He threw 12 of 16 pitches for strikes and recorded his fifth save over five appearances in March. Megill appears to be locked in as Milwaukee's closer, as no other Brewer has notched a save this month. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:33 pm
    • Trevor Megill strikes out three in save vs. Astros
Trevor Megill struck out three in a scoreless ninth in a save against the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: That’s the sixth save of the season for the 30-year-old right-hander. Megill allowed just one hit, so it’s up to you to decide whether he struck out the side or not. Megill should continue to see save chances while Devin Williams recovers from injury. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:55 pm
    • Lasts five innings Friday
Montas gave up three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out one over five innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Montas gave up a leadoff blast to Mookie Betts in the first inning and a two-run home run to Shohei Ohtani in the third. The Reds were able to erase that damage after Montas exited, but the Dodgers rallied in the late innings. Given the opponent, this was an acceptable start from the right-hander. He's still at a pedestrian 4.37 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB through 35 innings over eight starts this season. Montas' next start is projected to come at home versus the Padres, when he'll look for his first win since April 3. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:06 pm

    • Frankie Montas charged for three runs vs. Dodgers
Frankie Montas gave up three runs over five innings while not factoring into the decision against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Montas allowed just four hits, but two of those were homers by the superstar duo that is Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani. The former Dodger allowed three walks and also had just one strikeout, so it’s fair to say that he wasn’t exactly fooling the Los Angeles lineup even when they weren’t seeing hits drop. Montas has been shaky in his first year with the Reds, and his 4.37 ERA and 25/15 K/BB over 35 innings are pretty accurate descriptors of his 2024 campaign. Rotoworld Friday, 9:40 pm

    • Jhoan Duran allows winning run to Guardians
Jhoan Duran gave up an eighth inning home run to José Ramirez and took the loss on Friday night.

Advice: Duran entered this game tied in the eighth inning against the top of the Guardians’ order and allowed the game-winning run. It would’ve been interesting to see how the Twins managed Duran had he got through the inning cleanly: he’s yet to pitch more than an inning this season and hasn’t thrown more than 18 pitches. • Surrenders two runs
Jansen (1-1) took the loss Thursday against Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk with two strikeouts over one inning.

Advice: Jansen took over in the top of the ninth with the game tied but fell to his first loss of the campaign. After striking out Josh Lowe to start off the inning, Jansen yielded a walk, two singles and a sacrifice fly to consecutive batters as the Rays took a 7-5 advantage and the eventual win. The outing raised the 36-year-old's ERA from 2.45 to 3.45. In 15.2 innings of work, Jansen owns a 21:10 K:BB and has yet to allow a home run. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:44 pm
    • Hangs on for fifth save
Megill earned the save Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing a solo home run and no walks with two strikeouts across one inning.

Advice: Megill entered the contest with two runs of cushion and managed to secure his fifth save of the campaign despite allowing a solo homer to Connor Joe with two outs in the ninth. The 30-year-old is a perfect 5-for-5 in save chances and has only allowed two runs in 10.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:43 pm
    • Megill picks up fifth save of the season vs. PIT
Trevor Megill allowed one earned run over one inning while earning the save on Tuesday against the Pirates.

Advice: A Connor Joe home run in the ninth was the lone earned run Megill would give up in this one. The fourth-year vet also struck out two batters in this one and now has five saves on the season. The home run to Joe was the first homer Megill has allowed on the season, and he’s given up just two earned runs over 10 2/3 innings pitched. Sitting on a 1.69 ERA and 0.94 WHIP, Megill has been as solid as they come early in the year. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:20 pm
