    • Tyler Glasnow strikes out 10 in win over Braves
Tyler Glasnow recorded 10 strikeouts and allowed two runs over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Braves.

Advice: Glasnow completed seven frames for the third time already this season and also notched his third double-digit strikeout performance. The dynamic 30-year-old fantasy ace generated 14 swinging strikes and finished with a 32 percent CSW. He got plenty of support from Los Angeles’ loaded lineup to cruise to his sixth win of the year. He’ll carry a stellar 2.70 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 63/13 K/BB ratio across 50 innings (eight starts) into a road tilt on Friday against the division-rival Padres. Rotoworld Today, 9:53 pm
    • John Means spins seven-inning gem in ’24 debut
John Means recorded eight strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Saturday in a win over the Reds.

Advice: Means spun an absolute gem in his season debut following a five-week absence at the outset of the season due to a lingering elbow issue from last year, limiting Cincinnati’s stellar lineup to just three hits over seven frames. The 31-year-old southpaw induced 19 swinging strikes, including eight on his signature changeup alone, and finished with a near-elite 39 percent CSW. It was an extremely encouraging outing and certainly inspires confidence in his ability to make an impact for fantasy managers moving forward. He’ll face the Diamondbacks at home next Saturday. • Tames Miami on Saturday
Blackburn (3-1) registered the win Saturday against the Marlins, yielding just one run on four hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Blackburn was perfect through the first three innings and then really got to put it on cruise control after the Athletics offense spotted him a 12-0 lead. A leadoff home run by Nick Fortes in the sixth inning represented the only scoring off Blackburn. It's a nice bounce-back performance from the veteran right-hander after he allowed 13 runs over his previous three outings. Blackburn is slated to take on the Mariners in Seattle next. • Jurickson Profar has jack and a bag in victory
Jurickson Profar went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a stolen base on Saturday night as the Padres demolished the Diamondbacks in San Diego.

Advice: Profar didn’t seem to mind being dropped down to the fifth spot in the lineup following the addition of Luis Arraez. He reached on a fielder’s choice and swiped a base in the opening inning but was left stranded at second. He then led off the fourth inning with a single and scored on a ground ball off the bat of Luis Campusano. He also helped to pad the Padres’ lead with a 395-foot (102.0 mph EV) two-run shot off of Brandon Hughes in the seventh inning, making it a 7-0 ballgame. Conventional wisdom says that he’ll eventually crash back to earth, but Profar is on top of the world right now. He’s slashing a robust .347/.435/.542 with five homers, 23 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 8:07 pm
    • Nails down 11th save
Holmes gave up a hit and struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings Saturday to record his 11th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: The right-hander is tied with the Cardinals' Ryan Helsley for the league lead in saves. Holmes kept his ERA a pristine 0.00 with Saturday's performance, although he did give up three unearned runs in his one blown save, and through 15 innings he's delivered a 0.92 WHIP and 18:1 K:BB. • Fans seven in third win
Schmidt (3-1) picked up the win Saturday over the Tigers, giving up three runs on four hits over five innings. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander tied his season high in strikeouts while generating 33 called or swinging strikes among his 91 pitches. Schmidt has been remarkably consistent to begin the season, allowing between one and three runs in every start and completing five innings in six of seven outings, although he has yet to last a full six frames. He'll take a 3.50 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 41:13 K:BB through 36 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come next weekend in Tampa Bay. Rotowire.com Today, 7:24 pm
    • Paul Blackburn tosses seven strong frames in win
Paul Blackburn tossed seven innings of one-run ball with three strikeouts in a win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Blackburn was excellent against Miami on Saturday, holding them to one run over seven frames. The only run against him was a solo homer by Nick Fortes in the sixth inning. Blackburn scattered three more hits and one walk, striking out three on his way to his third win. The 30-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.05 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 31/10 K/BB ratio across 41 1/3 innings. He lines up for a start against the Mariners in Seattle on Friday. • Stellar in 2024 debut
Means (1-0) earned the win over the Reds on Saturday, allowing three hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out eight without issuing a walk.

Advice: A setback with Means' surgically repaired left elbow put the southpaw on the injured list to begin the 2024 season. After an extended, six-start rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk, Means transitioned beautifully to the big-league rotation, blanking the Reds in Great American Ball Park while racking up 19 swings and misses on 85 pitches. The Cincinnati offense has been in a bad way, but regardless it was an impressive return for Means and he's fully built up heading into his next projected matchup at home against the Diamondbacks. An All-Star in 2019, Means has thrown a no-hitter in the majors and owns a 3.67 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 387.1 career innings over parts of seven seasons. Rotowire.com Today, 6:56 pm
    • Clay Holmes picks up four-out save vs. Tigers
Clay Holmes hurled a scoreless 1 1/3 innings to get a save Saturday against the Tigers.

Advice: Holmes gave up one hit while picking up a pair of strikeouts. This now makes 16 consecutive appearances to begin the year where he hasn’t allowed a run, and he’s already up to 11 saves on the season. Can’t do much better than that. Rotoworld Today, 12:48 pm
