Randy Arozarena swipes two bases as Rays top Twins
Randy Arozarena singled, doubled, walked, was hit by a pitch, scored a run and stole a pair of bases on Wednesday night, leading the Rays to a 3-2 victory over the Twins in 10 innings.
Advice: After striking out in his first at-bat on the night, Arozarena reached base in each of his final four plate appearances. He led off the fourth inning with a double, but the Rays couldn’t cash him in. He then singled and swiped second base with two outs in the sixth inning, but was left stranded there. He then led off the eighth inning with a walk but was stranded at third base. Arozarena was plunked leading off the 10th inning, he swiped second base and scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error by Royce Lewis. With his two-hit attack, the 29-year-old outfielder is now hitting .185/.299/.345 to go along with 10 homers, 25 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season.
