      Advice: Burnes had a solid outing, but a two-run home run by Yordan Alvarez and a solo shot by Chas McCormick were too much for the Orioles to overcome. This was the first time all year Burnes has given up multiple homers in a start -- he's yielded just 10 long balls through 16 starts. He's allowed just two runs over 20 innings across his last three starts after giving up four runs in each of his two outings before this stretch of dominance. The right-hander continues to thrive in his first full year as a starter, pitching to a 2.34 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 79:35 K:BB through 84.2 innings over 14 starts. The 33-year-old hurler had allowed just one run through his first six innings of work, but he returned for the seventh where he served up a two-run blast to Travis d’Arnaud before exiting. Stroman got 12 swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 27 percent. Morton served up a two-run homer to Aaron Judge in the opening inning, then the Yankees scratched out single runs in the third and fourth innings before chasing Morton while scoring a run in the sixth. The biggest threat against him came in his final inning of work, as the Brewers put two men on with two outs and William Contreras crushed a ball to the wall in center field that came up just short of being a three-run homer. Vasquez generated just three whiffs on 98 pitches on the day, registering a minuscule CSW of only 17 percent.
