    • Triples in two straight
Carroll went 1-for-4 with a triple, a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 6-4 win over Detroit. He was also caught stealing.

Advice: Carroll tripled to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored the first of two Arizona runs during the frame. It was the second straight game with a triple for Carroll, who finished second in MLB last season with 10 three-baggers. He was moved back to the leadoff spot seven games ago, but it hasn't done much to break Carroll's season-long slump; he's 4-for-24 with three extra-base hits and five runs since the move and has been caught stealing twice. • Drills 11th home run
Rooker went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.

Advice: Rooker belted a three-run shot in the ninth inning, but it wasn't enough for the Athletics to mount a late comeback. It was his first homer since May 12, though six of his 11 long balls this year have come in May. Rooker is following up his 30-homer breakout season nicely, posting a .281/.358/.578 slash line with 18 extra-base hits and 32 RBI through 151 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:51 pm

    • Brent Rooker hits three-run homer in loss
Brent Rooker went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run on Sunday in a loss to the Royals.

Advice: Rooker’s homer was his 11th of the season and he scalded this one at 111.7 MPH off the bat. There’s still a lot of swing and miss in his game, but a barrel rate right around 15% and hitting third in the surging A’s lineup has turned him into one of the best run producers in the league early this season. • Taking seat Sunday
Steer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Steer is mired in an 0-for-16 slump and will head to the bench Sunday. Will Benson will shift to left field for the series finale in Los Angeles while Stuart Fairchild and Jake Fraley start in center and right, respectively. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:46 am

    • Sitting Sunday
Doyle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazettereports.

Advice: Doyle has a .962 OPS in his past 10 games but will take a seat Sunday after making 23 straight starts. Jordan Beck will man center field and bat seventh in the series finale at San Francisco. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:42 am
    • Spencer Steer out of lineup Sunday vs. Dodgers
Spencer Steer is not in the lineup for Sunday’s tilt against the Dodgers.

Advice: Steer has struggled mightily as of late, and the 26-year-old will get a day to think about things against Landon Knack and the Dodgers. Santiago Espinal is starting at third base with Jeimer Candelario moving across the diamond to first. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:29 am

    • Spencer Steer goes 0-for-3 in loss to Dodgers
Spencer Steer went 0-for-3 with a strikeout on Saturday in the Reds’ shutout loss at the hands of the Dodgers.

Advice: It’s probably too early to panic, but Steer is batting just .165 (18-for-109) with one homer and eight steals over his last 30 games. The 26-year-old’s plate skills remain solid and his underlying Statcast batted ball metrics point to some regression on the way. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:48 am

    • Leads comeback win
DeLuca went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: After drawing a walk and coming around to score in the sixth inning as part of a three-run rally that got the Rays on the board, DeLuca turned on a 97.3 mph fastball from Nate Pearson in the eighth inning and launched it over the left-field fence for the game-winning hit. DeLuca has begun to see his playing time slip as Tampa Bay's roster has gotten healthier, but through 15 games this season he still sports a .300/.404/.550 slash line with two homers, three steals, six runs and 12 RBI. • Jonny DeLuca blasts two-run homer in Rays win
Jonny DeLuca went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk, and two runs scored in the Rays 5-4 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: DeLuca drew a walk in the sixth inning and scored on a single by José Caballero. He stepped in to bat with a runner on in the eighth and took Nate Pearson deep for a two-run homer to give the Rays the lead. The 25-year-old outfielder is hitting .300/.404/.550 with two homers, 12 RBI, and three steals across 47 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:01 pm
