    • Third straight two-steal game
De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in Friday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: De La Cruz stole a base after each of his hits, no doubt taking advantage of the Giants starting their fourth-string catcher, Jakson Reetz, in this contest. This was De La Cruz's third straight game with multiple steals, and he's achieved that seven times this season. The speedy infielder is up to 25 thefts on 29 attempts in 2024 while maintaining a .271/.370/.519 slash line through 38 games. He's added eight home runs, 20 RBI, 28 runs scored, seven doubles and a triple while serving as the Reds' No. 2 hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:05 pm
    • Elly De La Cruz steals two bags in win over Giants
Elly De La Cruz stole two bases and went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in a 4-2 win over the Giants on Friday.

Advice: With those two steals, De La Cruz is already up to 25 on the season. The speedy infielder also helped turn a terrific double play and remains must-see television anytime there’s a chance to watch. De La Cruz has absolutely lived up to the hype in the early portion of 2024, and then some. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 pm
    • Two RBI in loss
Steer went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Thursday's 5-4 loss to Arizona.

Advice: Steer delivered two runs on a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game before the Diamondbacks went ahead an inning later. He continues to produce with runners in scoring position, posting a .359 batting average and 1.022 OPS in such situations. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:44 am

    • Halts skid, steals two bags in loss
De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, two steals, a run scored and was caught stealing in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Once again, De La Cruz filled up the box score. His fourth-inning single snapped an 0-for-17 slide, and he later delivered a run as part of the Reds' three-run seventh inning to tie the game at 4-4. His aggressiveness on the bases was also on display as he swiped his 22nd and 23rd bags; however, that aggression may have cost Cincinnati. After leading off the sixth with a walk and a steal, De La Cruz was caught trying to take third base and was not in scoring position when Jake Fraley singled later in the frame. That aggressiveness is something manger David Bell tolerates from De La Cruz, as he told Mark Sheldon of MLB.com. "Right there, he did have more time, but we've also seen him get to third with no outs and lead to a run," Bell said. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:34 am
    • Two more pilfers in loss
De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with two stolen bases in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After reaching base on a fielder's choice in the fifth inning, De La Cruz promptly stole second and third base, but the Reds couldn't bring him home. The 22-year-old phenom is up to 21 steals on the season, tops in the majors by a healthy margin -- second place is a three-way tie at 14 between Ronald Acuna, Brice Turang and Jose Caballero. De La Cruz has gone 0-for-15 over the last four games, but he still sports a .254/.356/.516 slash line on the season with eight homers, 19 RBI and 27 runs in 36 contests. • Elly De La Cruz swipes two more bags in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Wednesday’s loss to the Diamondbacks — and still managed to steal a pair of bases.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom reached base on a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning, then proceeded to steal second and third base before being stranded there. He has been an invaluable asset in fantasy leagues so far this season, slashing .254/.356/.516 with eight homers, 19 RBI and a league-leading 21 stolen bases (in 24 attempts). • Snaps team scoreless streak
Steer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Steer's ninth-inning single plated Cincinnati's lone run, marked his team-leading 23rd RBI and snapped the club's 26-inning scoreless streak at home. The Reds started five players batting .200 or lower and have had issues scoring of late, batting .185 with 78 strikeouts over the last eight games (six losses). Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage. • Junior Caminero batting .333 at Triple-A Durham
Junior Caminero was held out of the lineup on Thursday for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Caminero hasn’t been called up. According to multiple reports it’s merely a planned off day after he played in both games of Wednesday’s doubleheader. He’s been on an absolute tear with a pair of multi-homer performances in his last three contests. The 20-year-old top prospect appears to be on the precipice of returning to Tampa Bay’s lineup, likely for good, as he’s batting .333 (18-for-54) with six homers and one steal through 14 contests for Triple-A Durham. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats already. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:12 pm

    • Clubs solo homer
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base during Wednesday's 6-2 loss to San Diego.

Advice: Steer advanced to a perfect 8-for-8 on steal attempts this season and belted his fourth home run of the campaign -- and his first since April 6 -- off of Joe Musgrove in the first inning. He's cooled off since going on a tear to open the season and is batting 5-for-40 (.125) with four RBi and three runs scored during his last 11 games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:37 pm
