      Advice: Rodriguez scored Seattle's second run in the first inning and padded his stat line with a pair of steals in the seventh. The star outfielder has four thefts over his past two contests following a 16-game stretch without any steals from May 9 to May 25. Though he's been pretty quiet with a .265/.309/.342 slash line on the season, Rodriguez has built some momentum in going 6-for-13 with two homers, five RBI, four runs and four stolen bases over his past three games.       Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Reds.

      Advice: Goldschmidt has homered three times over his last two games, though it's still too early to say he's completely out of the woods for his slow start to the campaign. He's shown some encouraging signs, hitting safely in all but one of his last 14 games while going 18-for-61 (.295) in that span. The first baseman is up to seven homers, 22 RBI, 26 runs scored and three stolen bases with a .222/.297/.359 slash line over 50 contests this season.       Paul Goldschmidt hit his third homer in two days to give the Cardinals their only run Monday against the Reds.

      Advice: Goldschmidt didn’t crush this one; technically, it wasn’t even a hard-hit ball at 94.3 mph. He hit it to the right spot, though. This little outburst has led to calls that Goldschmidt is back, but we want to see the K rate drop some before we buy into that.       Braves activated C Sean Murphy from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: It’s been a long wait, but Murphy is back. The veteran catcher played just one game for the Braves this season before injuring his oblique. He’s been hitting the ball well on his rehab assignment and throwing out baserunners, which shows his readiness to step back behind the dish. With Travis d’Arnaud playing well while Murphy was out, it’s likely that the Braves use a timeshare at catcher for the next few weeks, so fantasy managers who have d’Arnaud can maybe hold on a bit longer.       Atlanta activated Murphy (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Murphy missed more than eight weeks with a Grade 1 left oblique strain but is finally ready to rejoin Atlanta's lineup. He looked sharp during a four-game rehab stint with Triple-A Gwinnett, batting .278 with two home runs. Murphy will probably be eased back into primary catcher duties for Atlanta, as the club is keeping Chadwick Tromp around as a third catcher behind Murphy and Travis d'Arnaud for the time being.       Schmidt (5-3) took the loss Sunday against the Padres after allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings.

      Advice: Schmidt took a tough-luck loss in a game during which he took a shutout into the sixth inning. The first two batters in the frame would reach via an error and a walk before Schmidt turned things over to the bullpen. From there, Victor Gonzalez would allow both inherited runners to score. Schmidt registered a solid 16 whiffs on the afternoon and has recorded six or more strikeouts in five straight starts. The 28-year-old is showing signs of a legit breakout campaign and will carry a 2.52 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 67:20 K:BB (60.2 innings) into a projected matchup with the Giants this weekend.       Helsley allowed a run on three hits in one inning but earned the save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Cubs. He struck out a batter in the outing.

      Advice: Helsley ran into trouble against the Cubs for the second consecutive night and was still able to escape with a save. He allowed a leadoff home run to Ian Happ and then gave up back-to-back two-out singles before getting Seiya Suzuki to end things with a fly out. That's now seven hits and three runs given up by Helsley over his last two appearances, though both still turned into saves.       Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run home runs in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

      Advice: Goldschmidt opened up the scoring with a 424-foot two-run shot off Javier Assad in the third. He then followed up with another two-run blast in the fifth to put the Cardinals up 4-0, which was enough for them to hold onto the win. In 12 games since May 12, the 36-year-old is slashing .308/.357/.596 with four home runs, 10 RBI and nine runs scored. Sunday also marked his first multi-homer game since May 23, 2023. Despite his strong form of late, Goldschmidt is still underdelivering for fantasy managers on the whole this season, slashing .222/.298/.345 with six home runs, 21 RBI, 25 runs and three stolen bases across 215 plate appearances.
