Bo Bichette is not in the lineup on Monday against the Royals
Advice: It’s been a tough start to the year for Bichette, who is slashing just .210/.263/.305 with one home run and three steals. Bichette continues to make a solid amount of contact, but he also continues to chase pitches outside of the zone at a high rate. Even though he makes contact on those pitches, and has a lower swinging strike rate than last year, he’s now hitting the ball on the ground over 52 percent of the time and has just a 2.3 percent barrel rate. His approach may need to change in order for him to get back to his high batting average. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at shortstop and betting eighth in his place.
