    • Heliot Ramos homers, doubles twice vs. Angels
Heliot Ramos went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, and three RBI against the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Ramos stayed red hot at the plate on Saturday collecting three hits and driving in all three runs for the Giants. He took Patrick Sandoval deep for a two-run shot in the first inning, then drove in the third run on a double in the fifth. Ramos added a third extra-base hit with a double in the seventh. The 24-year-old outfielder is hitting an excellent .325/.407/.571 with eight homers and 30 RBI across 145 plate appearances. Rotoworld 7 minutes ago

    • Not yet doing on-field activity
Trout (knee) has yet to progress to performing on-field activities, per MLB.com.

Advice: Trout has been out of action since being diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee near the end of April. Los Angeles has thus far kept him on the 10-day IL, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere near being activated -- or even beginning a minor-league rehab stint -- given his lack of baseball activity. Trout is expected to return to action at some point this season, but the Angels are unlikely to rush him back given their position in the standings, and his timeframe for rejoining the team remains very hazy. • Oneil Cruz (ankle) remains out of Pirates’ lineup
Oneil Cruz (ankle) remains out of the Pirates’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s showdown against the Rockies.

Advice: It’s the second straight game that the dynamic 25-year-old shortstop has missed at Coors Field due to a sore ankle. The encouraging sign is that is still hasn’t been placed on the injured list, so the Pirates still believe that it’s truly a day-to-day type of situation. Jared Triolo will once again start in his place and will bat eighth against Rockies’ southpaw Ty Blach. Rotoworld 33 minutes ago

    • Idle Saturday
Cruz (ankle) isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Colorado.

Advice: Cruz was a late scratch from Friday's lineup with left ankle soreness and will take a seat once again Saturday. Jared Triolo will draw another start at shortstop and bat eighth for the Pirates. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

    • Like Mike: Imanaga folds Cards in seven-inning gem
Shota Imanaga struck out six and allowed one run over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Imanaga got his first taste of the storied NL Central rivalry on Saturday afternoon at historic Wrigley Field and delivered another masterpiece, throwing a career-high 103 pitches and limiting St. Louis’ lineup to just four baserunners over seven stellar frames. He induced 14 swinging strikes, with a dozen of them coming on his splitter/sweeper combo, and allowed just seven batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph. The 30-year-old Japanese southpaw has been a revelation this season in his Cubs debut, allowing two earned runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts so far. He’ll carry a microscopic 1.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 78/11 K/BB ratio across 76 innings (13 starts) into a home outing on Friday against the Mets. Rotoworld Today, 1:51 pm

    • Sitting versus southpaw
Hamilton is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Yankees, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Hamilton will get a breather as Boston squares off with southpaw Carlos Rodon on the mound. The 26-year-old saw his five-game hit streak come to an end Friday, but he's still batting .308 with two home runs, five RBI, six runs scored and five stolen bases over his last nine games. Ceddanne Rafaela will draw the start at shortstop and bat ninth against New York. Rotowire.com Today, 12:32 pm
    • Kyle Tucker (shin) might require rehab assignment
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Saturday that Kyle Tucker (shin) might require a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Espada elaborated that Tucker might need some rehab games to get back up to speed if he doesn’t resume running at some point this weekend. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June recovering from a right shin contusion and has yet to resume baseball activities. There should be a clearer picture of his potential return timeline at some point in the coming days. It certainly doesn’t sound like he’s close at this juncture. Rotoworld Today, 10:45 am

    • Slugs seventh homer
Ramos went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and two walks in Friday's 8-6 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Ramos collected his seventh multi-hit effort in 12 games in June. He's also posted five homers, 14 RBI and an 8:15 BB:K over that span. Ramos is up to a .314/.400/.529 slash line with seven long balls, 27 RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base over 140 plate appearances this season. He initially worked in the corner outfield spots, but the 24-year-old has started the last seven games in center field as he continues to solidify his place in the majors. • Heliot Ramos hits three-run homer in loss to LAA
Heliot Ramos hit a three-run homer and reached four times in a loss to the Angels on Friday.

Advice: In addition to the three-run homer, Ramos also singled and drew a pair of walks. The 24-year-old has been outstanding in 2024 after struggling in his limited MLB chances in the past, and the four-reach game has him slashing .314/.400/.529 in 121 at-bats. It’s time to take Ramos seriously, if you needed any convincing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:17 pm
