      J.D. Martinez will bat fifth and serve as the designated hitter in his Mets’ debut on Friday night against the Cardinals.

He wound up playing in just two games during his time at Triple-A Syracuse, going 3-for-8 with a double. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this point.
