    • Fans two for seventh save
Doval earned the save over the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing one hit and one walk over one inning while striking out two.

Advice: Doval entered the game with a three-run lead in the ninth and quickly retired the first two batters on strikes before walking Mookie Betts and surrendering a single to Shohei Ohtani. However, the right-hander was able to get Freddie Freeman to ground out for the final out and notch his seventh save in as many chances. Doval has also recorded two strikeouts in three straight appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:24 am
    • Another shutout win
Webb (4-4) earned the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three hits and three walks over six shutout innings while striking out five.

Advice: Webb allowed three of the first four batters to reach base in the opening frame but managed to work his way out of the jam, getting two of the three outs by way of strikeout. The right-hander would allow just two walks and two singles from that point on en route to earning his fourth win of the season, snapping a three-game losing skid. Webb has now hurled six or more shutout innings in three of his last six starts, posting a 30:12 K:BB over that stretch. He's also logged quality starts in seven of his 10 outings this season. • Camilo Doval secures seventh save vs. Dodgers
Camilo Doval struck out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning for the save against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Doval was summoned to close out the game with a three-run lead in the ninth. He struck out the first two batters, then walked Mookie Betts before giving up a base hit to Shohei Ohtani. Freddie Freeman grounded out to second base to end the game. Doval is up to seven saves with a 3.18 ERA and 23 strikeouts across 17 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Logan Webb shuts down Dodgers over six in win
Logan Webb tossed sixth scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Webb worked around some trouble to start the game, loading the bases with one out in the first inning. He struck out a batter for the second out and escaped the jam with a line out to right field. Webb scattered two walks and two hits over five more scoreless frames, striking out five on the day. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.03 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and a 47/17 K/BB ratio across 59 1/3 innings into a start against the Pirates in Pittsburgh next Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm
    • Can't contain Colorado
King (3-4) took the loss against the Rockies on Wednesday, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven betters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: King fell behind when he yielded three runs in the second inning, and San Diego's offense never put up a fight against Austin Gomber and a trio of Rockies relievers. King had been on a roll coming into Wednesday, putting up 13 scoreless frames over his previous two starts, but he's been very inconsistent this season, giving up at least four runs in four of his 10 appearances. Altogether, he's registered a mediocre 4.31 ERA and 1.36 WHIP along with a 61:26 K:BB through 54.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm
    • Michael King hit hard in loss to Rockies
Michael King was hit hard in Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Rockies, surrendering six runs on eight hits across his 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, King racked up seven strikeouts on the afternoon while issuing just two free passes. The Rockies scored three times in the second inning — including a solo blast by Brenton Doyle — then tacked on two more in the third. King settled in nicely afterwards though and kept them at bay until the sixth, where he exited after allowing single that eventually came around to score. King got 14 swings and misses on 89 pitches on the afternoon while registering a CSW of 33 percent. With extreme inconsistency on the season, he now sports a 4.31 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and a 60/26 K/BB ratio over 54 innings through his first 10 appearances (nine starts). He’ll do battle against the Reds his next time out in Cincinnati on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:52 pm
    • Dominates again Tuesday
Miller, who'd pitched just once in the previous 11 games entering Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Astros, threw 14 fastballs of at least 100.5 mph out of his 29 pitches during his two scoreless innings, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Miller's arm was clearly fresh, and manager Mark Kotsay deployed his closer for multiple innings in the tie game as a result. Miller rewarded him by recording five strikeouts -- including of the noteworthy trio of Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez and Jeremy Pena -- over his 29 pitches. The elite velocity helped Miller to his 13th straight scoreless outing and extended his career-high scoreless streak to 17.1 innings. The improved - but still inconsistent - Athletics have afforded Miller just eight save chances among his 14 appearances, but he's converted each and now boasts a minuscule 0.98 ERA and 0.65 WHIP alongside a 38:5 K:BB across 18.1 innings. • Throwing off mound
Maeda (illness) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Maeda has been fighting a viral illness and was placed on the 15-day IL on Saturday. After being too sick to throw for a short period of time, Maeda's quick return to mound work should mean he won't require a lengthy absence. However, he'll still require a rehab assignment before rejoining the Tigers. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:14 pm

    • Kenta Maeda (illness) throwing bullpen Wednesday
Kenta Maeda (illness) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.

Advice: Maeda landed on the injured list last weekend with a viral illness, so the fact that he’s ready to resume throwing already seems to indicate that he’ll be ready to return when first eligible on May 23. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:01 pm
