  • Nearing rehab assignment
Urquidy (forearm) will throw live batting practice Tuesday and could then begin a minor-league rehab assignment, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The right-hander was originally expected to throw live BP on Sunday, but the session was pushed back a couple days. Astros GM Dana Brown expects Urquidy to require "two or three rehab starts" before rejoining the Astros, so he's still at least a couple weeks away from returning from the injured list. • Impressive over six innings
Crochet (2-4) earned the win after he pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out six batters in Sunday's 5-1 victory over the Cardinals.

Advice: Crochet was able to make it back-to-back strong outings Sunday, limiting the Cardinals to just one run on a fourth-inning solo home run by Willson Contreras. The left-hander secured his first quality start since April 3 in the win and he has now allowed just three runs over 11 innings in his last two outings. Crochet will carry a 5.31 ERA and 11.73 K/9 into his next projected start Friday at home versus the Guardians. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago
  • Could be back by next weekend
Astros GM Dana Brown said Sunday that the plan is to have Javier (neck) "back by at least the Detroit series" that begins Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athleticreports.

Advice: The right-hander threw 68 pitches during his rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks. The Astros have already listed their probable starters for the three-game set against the Yankees this week, which sets up Javier to potentially pitch next weekend versus the Tigers. • Allows two homers in no-decision
Falter did not factor into the decision, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings Sunday against the Rockies. He struck out three.

Advice: Falter allowed three consecutive extra-base hits including back-to-back homers in the second that allowed three runs to cross the plate but was able to keep the Pirates in the game, working his way through 5.1 innings without allowing any additional damage. Falter has tossed at least five innings in six of seven starts this season while allowing three or fewer runs in five of those games for an ERA of 4.34 with a quality 1.02 WHIP. Despite his general effectiveness, Falter's spot in the rotation appears shaky as Pirates' top-prospect Paul Skenes also pitched Sunday in Triple-A with a call to the majors likely not too far off for the highly-touted righty. When Skenes does receive the call, it will either be Falter or Quinn Priester who are likely to lose their spot with the currently injured Marco Gonzales also muddying up the waters further if/when he eventually returns from a forearm issue that's kept him sidelined since April 14. • Paul DeJong scores twice as White Sox beat Cards
Paul DeJong went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and an RBI as the White Sox triumphed over the Cardinals 5-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Advice: DeJong smacked a one-out ground-rule double off of Matthew Liberatore in the second inning, took third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by Bryan Ramos. He then further victimized his former squad with an RBI double in the seventh inning that extended the White Sox lead to 3-1. He scored later in the inning on an RBI knock by Braden Shewmake. With his two-hit attack, DeJong is now hitting .224/.267/.412 with three long balls and seven RBI in 90 plate appearances. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago
  • Eloy Jiménez crushes solo homer in win on Sunday
Eloy Jiménez belted a go-ahead solo homer in the seventh inning on Sunday, helping to power the White Sox to victory over the Cardinals.

Advice: The 27-year-old slugger led off the seventh inning with his 411-foot (105.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Giovanny Gallegos — giving the White Sox a 2-1 advantage. That would be his lone hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. For the season, Jiménez is now hitting .231/.291/.397 with four homers and 11 RBI. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago
  • Bryan Ramos drives in run in win over Cardinals
Bryan Ramos went 1-for-3 and drove in a run as the White Sox topped the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.

Advice: The 22-year-old infielder picked up his first career RBI on a sacrifice fly in the second inning. He also notched his first career hit with a single in the seventh inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Robbie Grossman. He’s unlikely to provide much of an impact from a fantasy perspective in a part-time role for the White Sox. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago
  • Garrett Crochet fans six in victory over Cardinals
Garrett Crochet picked up his second victory of the season on Sunday afternoon, striking out six batters over six innings of one-run baseball against the Cardinals.

Advice: The 24-year-old southpaw scattered just three hits on the afternoon and didn’t walk a batter. The lone blemish on his day came on a solo blast off the bat of Willson Contreras in the fourth inning. Aside from that, he was brilliant. Crochet generated eight swings and misses on 88 pitches on the day — four of those on his cutter — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 2-4 on the season, he’ll carry a 5.31 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and a 53/9 K/BB ratio (40 2/3 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Guardians. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago
  • Willson Contreras goes deep in loss to White Sox
Willson Contreras clubbed his sixth home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, accounting for the entirety of the Cardinals’ offense in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The 31-year-old backstop tagged White Sox’ left-hander Garrett Crochet for his 426-foot (111.4 mph EV) solo shot in the fourth inning, tying the game at 1-1. That would be their only scoring in the ballgame. Contreras struck out in each of his other three plate appearances in the contest, finishing the day 1-for-4. On the season, he’s now hitting .275/.398/.539 to go along with six homers, 11 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago
