  • Limits damage against Mariners
Brown didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing two runs on five hits with four walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Despite tying his season high in walks, Brown only allowed a pair of runners to score and held the Mariners to just one extra-base hit. Brown has lasted less than five innings in five of his seven starts this season and owns an ugly 8.89 ERA through 27.1 innings. With Cristian Javier (neck) set to return in the next week or so, Brown's time in the rotation could be coming to a close. However, Houston could drop rookie Spencer Arrighetti instead. As it stands, Brown is tentatively scheduled for a start against the Tigers on Saturday. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
  • Nick Lodolo struggles in start vs Orioles
Nick Lodolo allowed four runs on four hits in five innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: It wasn’t all bad for Lodolo, who struck out six and walked two while posting a 30 percent whiff rate and 31 percent CSW. Lodolo struggled out of the gates, allowing three runs on three hits in the first inning before settling down. The lefty now has a 2.79 ERA and should certainly be started next week against the Giants. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago
  • Falls apart late
Miller didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Astros, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk across six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Miller kept a clean sheet through five innings before surrendering a two-run home run to Kyle Tucker in the sixth and a two-run shot to Jon Singleton in the seventh -- a long ball that got Miller pulled. The outing marked Miller's third time allowing multiple homers this season and his three strikeouts were a season low. Through 41.1 innings, Miller owns a 2.61 ERA and a 42:13 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled for a home start against the Athletics on Saturday. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago
  • Dean Kremer dominates Reds on Sunday
Dean Kremer threw six shutout innings against the Reds on Sunday, allowing one hit while striking out six.

Advice: It was a masterful performance. Kremer posted a 33 percent CSW and 37 percent whiff rate, highlighted by seven whiffs on 13 swings on his four-seam fastball. Kremer leaned heavily on the cutter on Sunday and danced around the zone, throwing less than 50 percent of pitches in the strike zone, but he got the Reds to chase. Kremer now has a 3.57 ERA on the year and can certainly be started next week against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld 50 minutes ago
  • Ohtani has four hits, two HR in win over ATL
Shohei Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored in a 5-1 win over the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: This guy is pretty good. Ohtani got things started in the first inning with a 412-foot two-run shot off of Max Fried and then absolutely annihilated a 464-foot solo homer in the eighth inning that left the bat at 110.6 mph. Ohtani now has 10 home runs and 25 RBI on the season. There’s not much you can do if you don’t already have him on your team, but you can admire the talent. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago
  • Effective against Minnesota
Criswell pitched 4.1 innings, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out five batters in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Criswell was once again effective Sunday, limiting the damage against him to just a solo home run by Ryan Jeffers in the bottom of the third inning. The right-hander allowed a double to Carlos Santana to open the bottom of the fifth inning and was ultimately removed from the game after getting Jose Miranda to pop out in the following at-bat, which prevented him from qualifying for the win. Criswell now owns a 1.74 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over 20.2 innings in five appearances this season, including four starts. He is tentatively set to return to the mound Saturday at home versus the Nationals. Rotowire.com Today, 5:30 pm
  • Labors through three
Gore did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing six runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over three innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out four.

Advice: Gore needed 76 pitches to get through three innings with a second inning grand slam by Vladimir Guerrero serving as the biggest blow. The silver lining for fantasy managers is that Guerrero's blast did not hurt Gore's stat line as two errors in the inning, including a fielding error by Gore, rendered each of those runs unearned. It was the shortest outing of the season for Gore, who has yet to allow more than three earned runs in any contest. He'll carry a 3.44 ERA into his next start, tentatively scheduled to take place next weekend when the Nationals travel to Fenway Park to take on the Red Sox. Rotowire.com Today, 5:19 pm
  • Max Fried allows four runs in loss to Dodgers
Max Fried allowed four runs on four hits in seven innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Fried pitched well enough on the day, striking out seven and walking three while posting a 20 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. He didn’t have his best command and had a zone rate under 50 percent on the day, but he avoided major damage until giving up a two-run home run to Teoscar Hernandez in the sixth inning. He should bounce back next weekend against the Mets Rotoworld Today, 5:19 pm
  • Solid over six frames versus Boston
Ryan (1-2) was tagged with the loss after he pitched six innings, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five batters in Sunday's 9-2 defeat to the Red Sox.

Advice: Ryan tossed three scoreless frames to open his outing Sunday before giving up an RBI double to Rob Refsnyder in the fourth and then a two-run homer to Ceddanne Rafaela in the fifth inning. The right-hander has now recorded three straight quality starts and he has yet to allow more than three runs in any outing this season. Ryan will carry a 3.54 ERA and 1.01 WHIP into his next projected start Friday in Toronto. Rotowire.com Today, 5:17 pm
