• Remains red hot Thursday
Correa went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and an additional RBI in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Correa gave the Twins their first lead with a run-scoring single in the third inning and capped the scoring in the contest with a two-run homer to left field in the seventh. The veteran shortstop finished with his sixth multi-hit performance over his past eight contests, and he's slashing a jaw-dropping .545/.568/.758 with two homers, eight runs and nine RBI over that span. The hot stretch has pushed Correa's season slash line to .299/.363/.481, and he has six long balls, 31 RBI and 30 runs through 212 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:51 am

  • J-Rod hits game-tying homer in ninth vs. White Sox
Julio Rodríguez hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning against the White Sox, but the Mariners fell to Chicago in extra-innings.

Advice: With the Mariners trailing 2-1, J-Rod obliterated a Michael Kopech fastball to right-center field that tied the game at 2-2. The outfielder now has six homers on the season; a disappointing total for a player who many (justifiably) thought would be among the league leaders in 2024. Anyone who saw his swing tonight knows that he’s capable of — and likely going to — doing much more going forward. Rotoworld Thursday, 9:23 pm

  • Correa has home run, three hits, three RBI vs. A’s
Carlos Correa went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBI, and a home run against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Correa has been absolutely on fire at the plate lately. He’s hitting 18-for-33 (.545) with two home runs and nine RBI in his last eight games. Correa’s average is suddenly up to .299 with 31 RBI on the season. Despite only having six home runs total this year, his fantasy value is undeniable. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:42 pm

  • Abraham Toro remains leadoff man despite slump
The slumping Abraham Toro is again in the leadoff spot for the A’s for Thursday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: That’s hardly a surprise, considering that Toro has led off every game for the A’s since May 5. Still, he’s not exactly succeeding in the spot, having posted a .281 OBP in 46 games there. He’s hit .202/.228/.270 in his last 20 games. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:49 pm

  • Heading to bench Thursday
Joe is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Joe will take a seat for the series finale along with two of the other Pirates' everyday players in Andrew McCutchen and Nick Gonzales. Though he's been one of the Pirates' better hitters for much of the season, Joe has fallen into a 2-for-27 skid at the plate over his last eight games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:37 am

  • Sharp in third straight win
Irvin (5-5) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over six innings in a 7-5 victory over the Tigers. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander continues his breakout campaign, winning his third straight trip to the mound while delivering his fifth consecutive quality start. Irvin boasts a 3.00 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 69:15 K:BB through 81 innings on the season, and he'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Diamondbacks. • Cracks homer in loss
Marte went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Marte connected on a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. It was his 14th homer in 66 games. The second baseman is in the midst of a hot streak, going 14-for-32 (.438) with four home runs, eight RBI and additional five runs over the last 10 contests. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:06 am

  • Homer, two hits in win
Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Hamilton singled and came around to score in the fifth inning then hit a two-run homer off Spencer Turnbull in the sixth. Hamilton has been on fire in June, notching his fourth straight multi-hit effort and hitting .333 with two home runs and four stolen bases in 10 games. Injuries have paved the way for Hamilton to receive regular playing time, but he has earned it by hitting .296 with four homers, 10 RBI and 13 steals over 135 plate appearances. • David Hamilton homers, singles in Boston’s win
David Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in leading the Red Sox to an 8-6 win over the Phillies on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s Hamilton’s fourth straight two-hit game, and he’s now hitting .296/.348/.472 for the season. His Statcast numbers aren’t nearly as strong as his actual line, but the improved power from what he showed in the minors is impressive. Both of his hits tonight left the bat at 104-105 mph.
