• Losing out on playing time
Cabbage is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Cabbage and Chas McCormick had been sharing time in right field as of last week while Kyle Tucker (shin) remains on the injured list, but Cabbage seems to have fallen out of favor in the wake of Joey Loperfido's promotion from Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday. With Loperfido presenting Houston with another lefty-hitting option in the outfield, Cabbage now finds himself on the bench for a fourth straight game. Rotowire.com Today, 10:47 am

  • Grounds out in return to action
Sano went 0-for-1 against Oakland in a 7-5 victory Tuesday.

Advice: Sano was activated from the injured list Tuesday after missing 50 games with left knee inflammation. He entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and grounded out to second base. Sano seems likely to return to the role he held prior to the injury, logging semi-regular at-bats while playing at first base and third base as well as getting starts as the Angels' designated hitter. • Held out again Wednesday
Drury (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Drury hasn't played in more than a week due to an upper-respiratory virus. The Angels have resisted placing him on the 10-day injured list thus far, and the team hasn't provided an indication that it has changed its stance, so consider Drury day-to-day. Luis Rengifo will cover second base Wednesday in Drury's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 10:39 am

  • Regaining playing time
Bauers will start at first base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Bauers will be included in the lineup for the second game in a row and for the third time in four games after producing three hits over his prior two starts. The 29-year-old is still getting on base at a lowly .279 clip for the season, so despite seeing his playing time trend upward of late, he's hardly locked into an everyday role for Milwaukee. • Gains regular spot in lineup vs. RHPs
Cave will start in right field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Cave looks to have moved into a strong-side platoon role in the Colorado outfield. He'll pick up a start in the outfield Wednesday for the Rockies' eighth straight matchup with a right-handed starting pitcher. The 31-year-old owns a .250/.303/.326 slash line with no home runs and two stolen bases over 145 plate appearances on the season, so he'll likely struggle to deliver much meaningful fantasy value even if he continues to see steady playing time versus righties. • Rangers activate Justin Foscue, send him to AAA
Rangers activated INF Justin Foscue from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock.

Advice: Foscue played in just two games for the Rangers in April before suffering an oblique strain. There’s no room for him on the roster now, but if he excels in Triple-A, perhaps he’ll get a look at DH or maybe even first base later. Rotoworld Today, 9:20 am

  • Activated and optioned
The Rangers activated Foscue (oblique) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock.

Advice: Foscue is fully recovered from the oblique strain that had kept him on the shelf since early April, but the Rangers will keep him at Round Rock, where he had been on a rehab assignment. The rookie infielder is 4-for-21 with one home run in seven games with Round Rock this season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:19 am

  • Nick Loftin gets start at third base Wednesday
Nick Loftin is in the lineup as the Royals’ third baseman Wednesday against the Marlins.

Advice: Loftin was serving as the Royals’ starting second baseman until Monday, when Michael Massey’s return as a DH and CJ Alexander’s promotion resulted in Maikel Garcia moving to second and Loftin hitting the bench. Loftin is back out there today, but he’s playing Garcia’s old spot, with Garcia remaining at second. At this rate, it’s easy to imagine Loftin getting sent back to Triple-A when Massey is deemed ready to return to the field or when Adam Frazier comes off the IL, whichever happens first. • Ryan Noda stays red hot in Triple-A
Ryan Noda homered in a second straight game for Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Advice: Noda didn’t immediately turn things around after his demotion to Triple-A at the beginning of May, but he’s now hit .288/.436/.675 with eight homers in his last 22 games. The A’s are committed to Tyler Soderstrom at first base at the moment, so unless they want to give Brent Rooker a bunch more outfield time, there’s no room for Noda at the moment. A Rooker trade might change that next month. Rotoworld Today, 8:05 am
