• Adrian Houser hit hard in loss to Guardians
Adrian Houser allowed six runs on six hits in five innings in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Houser struck out four and walked one on the night. He posted a 24 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW on the night and showed off some improved velocity, throwing 2.3 mph faster on his sinker and 2.7 mph faster on his slider. Despite allowing six hits, he only allowed four hard-hit baseballs on the day; it just so happened that all of them went for extra bases. Houser is now sporting a 7.88 ERA on the season and should the Mets continue to keep him in the rotation over Jose Butto, he’ll get the Dodgers in his next start. You don’t want any part of that. • Corey Julks tallies one steal, two RBI vs. Jays
Corey Julks went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a steal in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Julks laced a two-RBI single in the fifth inning off Yusei Kikuchi to give the White Sox a 3-0 lead, and has now hit safely in three of his first four games this season. Julks was called up from Triple-A Charlotte last week after the White Sox acquired him in a trade just days before. Julks has now homered and driven in three runs, and should continue getting opportunities as long as he stays hot. Rotoworld Today, 6:32 pm

  • Braves re-sign Jackson Stephens to minor league pact
Braves re-signed RHP Jackson Stephens to a minor league contract.

Advice: As expected, Stephens is back in the fold with Atlanta as extra relief depth. The 30-year-old righty made just three appearances earlier this season for the Braves before being designated for assignment earlier this month. Rotoworld Today, 6:31 pm
  • Xzavion Curry survives Mets in spot start
Xzavion Curry allowed two runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings in a no decision against the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Curry didn’t even know he was starting until a few hours before the game when Carlos Carrasco was unable to pitch due to neck spasms. Curry responded with four shutout innings and only three hits allowed to start the game. After striking out Starling Marte to start the fifth inning, things started to go awry with four straight hits, including a home run to Mrk Vientos. “He looked like he got a little tired in the fifth and started to lose his command a little bit,” said Guardians manager Stephen Vogt. Given how short notice this start was, getting a 23 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW is a solid performance; however, it’s unclear if Curry will get another opportunity in the near future or not. • Struggles in return to rotation
Houser (0-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing six runs on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Houser looked to be rolling early, as he'd retire the first seven batters faced. However, he'd allow three runs on three doubles in the third inning before Jose Ramirez launched a two-run homer in the fifth, leaving Houser with his fourth loss. The 31-year-old right-hander has struggled to a 7.88 ERA with a 1.78 WHIP and 21:24 K:BB through his first 37.2 innings with New York. If the Mets return to a five-man rotation, Houser will likely head back to the bullpen. Rotowire.com Today, 6:27 pm

  • Goes 4.1 innings vs. Mets
Curry did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mets, allowing two runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Curry got off to a strong start Tuesday, holding the Mets scoreless through his first four innings. However, after striking out Starling Marte to open the fifth, Curry gave up four straight hits, including a home run to Mark Vientos, as he was pulled from the game before he could qualify for the win. While the 25-year-old Curry held the Red Sox scoreless through five innings in his only other start with Cleveland this year, he'd been struggling mightily with Triple-A Columbus, pitching to an 11.22 ERA in his last five outings. Still, he could get another look in the big-league rotation with Carlos Carrasco (neck) going on the IL. Curry would tentatively line up for a road matchup with the Rockies in his next start. • Patrick Corbin lit up for eight runs in loss
Patrick Corbin was obliterated for a season-high eight runs over six innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Twins.

Advice: Corbin was shelled for a staggering nine hits, including three homers, by Minnesota’s suddenly surging offense. He struck out three and also issued three walks. The 34-year-old lefty had been pitching well of late until this disastrous outing. He’s been off the fantasy radar for a few years at this point and there’s been zero indication that’s going to change. He’ll face the Braves on Monday his next time out. • Excels in Double-A rehab start
Bubic (elbow) struck out three and allowed one hit and zero walks over three scoreless innings in his rehab start Sunday for Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

Advice: After a trio of rehab outings in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, Bubic was shifted to Double-A over the weekend and was unfazed by higher-caliber competition. He needed just 36 pitches to retire nine batters, doing so while allowing just one baserunner. Bubic's 30-day rehab window will come to a close in the first week of June, but the Royals haven't yet decided what role he'll fill once he's activated from the 60-day injured list. While he looks as though he'll get stretched out for starting duty, Bubic could have to settle for a long-relief role if No. 5 starter Alec Marsh continues to thrive in the Kansas City rotation. • Report: Nick Nastrini coming back up this week
The Chicago Sun-Times’ Daryl Van Schouwen reports Nick Nastrini will be recalled to start this week for the White Sox.

Advice: Nastrini was roughed up for six runs (five earned) over three innings back on April 21 and has allowed eight runs (seven earned) with an 8/7 K/BB ratio across eight innings (two starts) this season in the big leagues. The 24-year-old rookie is talented and offers some intrigue, but hasn’t proven he can be trusted for fantasy purposes yet. Rotoworld Today, 5:12 pm
