• Gausman allows one earned run in win over ChiSox
Kevin Gausman allowed one earned and four hits over six innings while earning the win on Tuesday against the White Sox.

Advice: Gausman didnt’ face much resistance in this one, as the Blue Jays grabbed an early 3-0 lead in the second, which more or less put Gausman in cruise control against one of the league’s worst offenses. Gausman earned a win in three of his five stars this month, and will have a chance to start June off on a strong note when he makes his next scheduled start on Monday against the Orioles. • Swipes bag in loss
McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: McCarthy was one of two Diamondbacks with a multi-hit effort Tuesday. He's logged a steal in each of his last two games, giving him five thefts on six attempts this season. The outfielder is 13-for-46 (.282) over 20 games in May, putting him right in line with his .284/.358/.404 slash line for the season. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

  • Goes seven innings in loss
Pfaadt (2-4) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Tuesday.

Advice: Pfaadt covered at least six innings for the sixth start in a row, but this was the third time this year he's allowed at least four earned runs. Josh Smith had an RBI single in the third inning and Corey Seager continued his power surge with a three-run home run in the fifth. Pfaadt is now at a 4.16 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 63:12 K:BB through 67 innings across 11 starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Mets. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago
  • Matt Waldron knuckles his way to third win
Matt Waldron struck out eight over seven innings Tuesday in the Padres’ 4-0 shutout of the Marlins.

Advice: He moved to 3-5 with a 4.26 ERA. Waldron threw his knuckleball 27% of the time last season and was at 36% percent this season coming into the night. Against the Marlins, though, he used it a career-high 55% of the time and induced 11 of his 15 missed swings on the night. We’re still not overly impressed by the pitch, but the league is awfully unfamiliar at dealing with knuckleballs these days. He’s probably better off continuing to focus on it, especially since the rest of his arsenal is pretty unremarkable. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Jesús Luzardo takes loss following quality start
Jesús Luzardo lost Tuesday after allowing three runs in six innings against the Padres.

Advice: Even a third straight scoreless outing wouldn’t have gotten Luzardo a win tonight, as the Marlins were shut out by the Padres. At this point, Luzardo is just playing out the string until an inevitable midseason trade. He’ll take a 2-4 record and a 4.18 ERA into his next start versus the Rays. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago
  • Jurickson Profar homers, knocks in three runs
Jurickson Profar had a two-run homer and an RBI single to drive in three of the Padres’ four runs Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: We’re still not sure what’s gotten into Profar, but he’s hitting the ball harder than ever and he’s currently boasting a .354 BABIP that’s nearly 90 points better than his career mark. He has to fade some from here, but this is the best he’s ever looked at the plate. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Jake Cronenworth goes 0-for-4 versus Marlins
Jake Cronenworth went 0-for-4 on Tuesday, leaving him 12-for-56 in his last 15 games.

Advice: Given his obvious decline in 2022 and ’23, Cronenworth was a very nice surprise to begin this year, batting .285/.349/.503 in his first 39 games. He’s slumped the last two weeks, but his exit velocity numbers are still encouraging enough to suggest that he’ll snap out of this and remain rather productive. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Tim Anderson goes 0-for-3 in loss to Padres
Tim Anderson went 0-for-3 in the loss to the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Anderson probably cost the Marlins the game on defense Monday, and he’s on the short list of the game’s worst hitters at .199/.235/.219 this season. A batting champ in 2019 and an All-Star in both 2021 and ’22, it’s hard to understand why he looks so finished now at age 30. Still, he’s turned into such a liability that he should not be in the major leagues at this point. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Logs third steal
Smith went 1-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch one RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Smith got the Rangers on the board with an RBI single in the third inning. He also stole second in the eighth after he was plunked. Smith has gone 13-for-43 (.302) with two steals over his last 12 contests. During that stretch, Smith has been promoted to the No. 3 spot in the order. He's slashing a sharp .280/.379/.409 with two home runs, three steals, 21 RBI and 24 runs scored over 190 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
