• Mountcastle, has three hits, HR vs A’s
Ryan Mountcastle went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a loss to the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was a 424-foot shot off Paul Blackburn that left the bat at 108.7 mph. It was Mountcastle’s fourth home run on the season, and he’s now slashing .319/.379/.527 on the season with 14 RBI. He gets lost in the shuffle with the Orioles’ having truckloads of talented young prospects, but Mountcastle has been one of their better hitters to start the season and needs to be started in all leagues for now. • Outrighted to Triple-A
Alu cleared waivers and was sent outright to Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Alu was designated for assignment Tuesday and will stick in the organization after he went unclaimed on waivers. The 27-year-old struggled to .538 OPS in 65 plate appearances at Rochester before he lost his place on Washington's 40-man roster. Rotowire.com 3 minutes ago

  • Austin Riley has game-winning hit on Sunday
Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a game-winning single in a win over the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Riley thought he had a game-winning home run off Emmanuel Clase earlier in the series only to have the ball caught at the warning track, but he left no doubt about this one with a laser of a line drive up the middle to drive in Ronald Acuna Jr., who was the ghost runner to start the 10th inning. That was Riley’s 14th RBI of the season, but the third baseman is hitting just .234/.311/.383 so far. He should find himself in a hot stretch in short order to bring that line back to his normal dominance. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago

  • Ozzie Albies has two hits in win over Guardians
Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Albies’ double was a well-hit 321-foot shot at 96 mph off the bat, and it’s good to see him making authoritative contact so soon since being activated off the IL. He now has a .329/.393/.513 slash line and should be back to being locked into all lineups. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

  • Eloy Jiménez goes 3-for-4 in Rays’ victory
Eloy Jiménez had three singles in four at-bats against the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: It’s his first three-hit game since he had four hits last Aug. 30. He went 6-for-14 with a homer and a double in three-game sweep of the Rays, raising his OPS from .613 to .759. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Isaac Paredes goes 2-for-4, hits seventh homer
Isaac Paredes finished 2-for-4 with a homer versus the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Paredes is the one holdover in the Rays lineup who hasn’t been hurt or a disappointment. The homer today was his seventh. No one else on the squad has more than three. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Christopher Morel returns to Cubs lineup on Sunday
Christopher Morel (hip, elbow) returned to the Cubs’ starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: Morel was pulled from Saturday’s game after colliding with teammate Alexander Canario in the outfield, but aside from being a bit banged up he’s good to go. Morel is starting at the hot corner and batting cleanup against Tanner Houck and the Red Sox on Sunday night. On the season, the 24-year-old slugger is hitting .219/.296/.365 with three homers, 12 RBI and one stolen base through 26 games. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Sits with illness
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Westburg was unavailable against the A's on Sunday due to a stomach bug, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The illness brought an end to a streak of 16 straight starts for Westburg, who has a .304/.360/.543 slash line through 25 games this season. The 25-year-old should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener versus the Yankees. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

  • Giménez has two hits, steal vs ATL
Andrés Giménez went 2-for-4 with a steal and an RBI against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Both of Giménez’s hits with singles hit 91 mph or better off the bat and upped his slash line to .275/.345/.343 on the year. That slugging percentage obviously leaves a lot to be desired, but Giménez is getting on base often at the top of the Guardians’ lineup and now has four steals on the year. He also has some of the lowest exit velocities among every day players, so if you can stomach his lack of power, he’s a good MIF target in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago
