The 28-year-old first baseman kick-started an eventual blowout with a two-run single in the fourth inning off Royals starter Michael Wacha. The quality start was the third of the season for the right-hander, and Lopez will take a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners.     CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base against the Blue Jays on Saturday.



    Advice: Abrams knocked a base hit in the third and stole second to get into scoring position, but was stranded on the bases. Down by four runs with the bases loaded, he sent a fly ball to deep center field that fell just short of a grand slam. He settled for a sacrifice fly to bring home a run.     Jack Suwinski went drove in the winning run with a pinch-hit single as the Pirates won a 1-0 game against the Rockies on Saturday.

    Advice: Suwinski stepped in to pinch-hit with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth. It just took one run to walk it off in the scoreless game. He delivered just that, knocking a single to left field to end the game.     Pablo López delivered a dominant performance in Saturday afternoon’s victory over the Red Sox, piling up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

    Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits and one walk on the afternoon. The lone tally against him came as Tyler O’Neill smacked a two-out double in the opening inning and Wilyer Abreu followed with a run-scoring single. Aside from that, he was in complete control.
