    Advice: Taveras bopped his first home run of the season, a two-run shot as part of the Rangers' three-run eighth inning that put the game out of reach. He's been a streaky hitter since emerging as the everyday center fielder, but Taveras hasn't done much streaking yet in 2024.     Tatis went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a steal, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

    Advice: Tatis also reached base once more via a hit by pitch and stole his first bag since April 16. Coming into Tuesday, his numbers at the dish have been misleading. He was just 5-for-40 over his last 10 games but posted a 72.4 percent hard hit rate and averaged an exit velocity of 96.9 miles per hour. He's experiencing some bad luck at the moment, which should turn around sooner than later.     Advice: Fairchild took Enyel De Los Santos deep to center in the seventh to bring the Reds within two runs. It was his first home run of the year, first hit since April 22, and first RBI since had had two April 20. The 28-year-old has not been overly productive when given the chance to be in the lineup, as he's slashing .200/.273/.267 with six RBI, seven runs, five steals and a 5:12 BB:K in 67 plate appearances.     Marlins OF prospect Victor Mesa Jr. walloped a three-run homer on Tuesday for Triple-A Jacksonville.

    Advice: Mesa continues to make a compelling case to get a shot with the Marlins, who have been one of the worst teams in the big leagues so far this season. The 22-year-old top prospect is batting .312 (24-for-77) with five homers through 19 games this season at the Triple-A level. There isn’t a ton of speed here, but he’ll chip in the occasional theft and could make an impact for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues, if he gets the call this summer.   • Victor Scott II steals base Tuesday at Triple-A
    Cardinals OF prospect Victor Scott II went 1-for-5 with an RBI and also stole a base on Tuesday for Triple-A Memphis.

    Advice: Scott hasn’t exactly set the world on fire since being demoted back to the minors in late April, but he’s started to get going on the basepaths recently. The 23-year-old speedster is up to three thefts in just six games. It was probably too aggressive from a development standpoint to start Scott in the majors this season, as he simply wasn’t ready to play everyday at the highest level just yet, but he’s going to make a significant impact for fantasy managers in the future once he’s gotten some additional seasoning.   • Dylan Carlson walks twice Tuesday in rehab game
    Dylan Carlson (shoulder) walked twice on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Memphis.

    Advice: Carlson will likely require a handful of rehab contests before rejoining St. Louis’ outfield mix at some point in the next week or so. The 25-year-old was at designated hitter in his rehab debut and should get back into center field at some point this week.     Advice: Smith's second-inning single and sixth-inning solo shot give the 26-year-old infielder his third multi-hit game in his last five contests. He is 7-for-14 two homers, three RBI and three runs scored during that stretch and now boats an impressive .917 OPS on the season while filling in as Josh Jung's (wrist) replacement.     Siri went 1-for-2 with an RBI, two runs scored and was hit by a pitch during Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.

    Advice: Siri homered off Freddy Peralta in the third inning to get the Rays on the scoreboard and was hit by a pitch during his next at-bat in the fifth frame, resulting in Peralta's ejection. He came around to score in the fifth but was later ejected himself after getting into a fight with Brewers reliever Abner Uribe in the eighth inning. Despite being the most productive member of the Rays' lineup Tuesday, Siri is still slashing just .186/.276/.302 and has struck out in 41 of his 86 at-bats this season, giving him extremely little fantasy value even in the deepest of leagues.     Florial went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 10-9 extra-inning loss to the Astros.

    Advice: Florial's sixth-inning blast tied the game at 8-8. It was his third homer of the year and his first to come against a team other than the Yankees. Florial's playing time has been slipping recently, mostly as a product of David Fry working his way into the lineup more frequently. The right-handed Fry, a natural catcher, will occasionally serve as the designated hitter or push one of the Guardians' regulars into that spot at Florial's expense.
