      Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters late Tuesday that Trevor Megill didn’t suffer a fracture when he was hit on the right elbow by a line-drive.

      Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging update at Megill appears to have avoided serious injury after being struck directly on the right elbow by a 99-mph line-drive during Tuesday’s extra-inning showdown against the Cubs. The 30-year-old stopper is presumably day-to-day for the moment with a contusion, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he wound up requiring a trip to the injured list, just to bring in a fresh arm.       Megill was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cubs after getting hit in the right arm by a line drive, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

      Advice: Megill entered Tuesday's game in the 10th inning and threw three pitches to Mike Tauchman before getting taking a 99-mph line drive off his right (throwing) arm. Megill immediately came out of the game and will presumably head into the clubhouse for imaging. The Brewers should have more information on his status following Tuesday's contest.       Rafael Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI in an 8-3 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

      Advice: It was a solid day at the plate for Devers, who had two hits over 104 mph and is now hitting .295 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in 25 games in May. It’s safe to say that he’s rebounded nicely from his slow start to the year, and the counting stats should continue to climb when the Red Sox are able to get Tyler O’Neill, Triston Casas, and Masataka Yoshida back in the lineup around Devers.
