Kyle Finnegan gets 18th save in win over ATL
Kyle Finnegan rescued the Nationals with a scoreless inning to secure an 8-5 win over the Braves on Sunday.
Advice: It didn’t seem like the Nationals would need Finnegan after taking an 8-2 lead into the ninth, but Jordan Weems allowed three runs on three hits without recording an out, so the Nationals asked Finnegan to bail them out. He responded by retiring the three batters he faced, including one on a strikeout. He now has 18 saves with a 1.73 ERA on the season and could be a big trade asset for the Nationals at the deadline if they decide to move on from the 32-year-old. The downside for fantasy managers is that he might not be a lock to close, depending on where he gets traded.
