    • Surrenders five runs in loss
Marsh (4-2) took the loss Monday against Minnesota, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Marsh was done in by two swings of the bat -- a Jose Miranda two-run homer in the third and a Trevor Larnach three-run blast in the fifth. The Kansas City right-hander has been productive since returning from an elbow injury May 10, firing a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB in 23.1 innings. Overall, his ERA now sits at 3.24 with a 43:14 K:BB over 50 innings. Marsh is slated to face the Padres at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:22 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Diaz is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest in Seattle.

Advice: Victor Caratini will do the catching for Framber Valdez. Diaz -- who had started the last three games and five of the last six -- has just a .501 OPS in May. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:10 pm

    • Joe Ryan strikes out nine in win over Royals
Joe Ryan recorded nine strikeouts and allowed one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Royals.

Advice: Ryan authored yet another stellar performance on Monday afternoon at Target Field, carrying a shutout into the sixth inning before Kansas City finally broke through courtesy of a two-out RBI single from Vinnie Pasquantino. It was his highest single-start strikeout total since a 12-punchout performance back on April 13 against the Tigers as he induced 15 swinging strikes, including 11 on his fastball, and finished with a robust 33 percent CSW. He’s rapidly cementing his status as an upper-echelon fantasy contributor, having allowed three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 11 starts at the outset of the season. He’ll bring a strong 2.96 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 73/9 K/BB ratio across 67 innings (11 starts) into a challenging road tilt on Saturday against the Astros. Rotoworld Monday, 1:38 pm

    • Alec Marsh coughs up two homers in loss to Twins
Alec Marsh surrendered five runs over seven innings on Monday in a loss to the Twins.

Advice: The surface stats certainly won’t reflect it, but Marsh held his own on Monday afternoon at Target Field as he was ultimately burned by a pair of tape-measure homers as Jose Miranda got him for a two-run bomb in the third inning before Trevor Larnach tattooed a three-run blast a couple frames later. He struck out seven and only issued a pair of walks, completing seven frames to spare Kansas City’s bullpen. It was just the second time this season in nine starts that he’s allowed four earned runs or more. He’s notched at least seven strikeouts in three of his last four outings since May 10. The 26-year-old righty will carry a solid 3.24 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 43/14 K/BB ratio across 50 innings (nine starts) into a home outing on Saturday against the Padres. Rotoworld Monday, 1:38 pm

    • Adley Rutschman plates two in O’s victory
Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Monday in the Orioles’ lopsided win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Rutschman has been overshadowed a bit by the surreal exploits of Milwaukee’s burgeoning superstar, William Contreras, but he remains in the mix as one of the premier backstops in the fantasy landscape. The 26-year-old franchise cornerstone delivered an RBI sacrifice fly in the third inning before adding an RBI double in the seventh inning of Monday afternoon’s one-sided affair at Fenway Park. He’s hitting .300 (62-for-207) with 10 homers, 37 RBI and one steal across 50 contests. That’ll work. Rotoworld Monday, 12:42 pm

    • Nearing rehab assignment
Conforto (hamstring) could begin a rehab assignment later this week, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Conforto was cleared to resume baseball activities last week as he works his way back from a right hamstring strain, although it's uncertain whether he's done any running yet. He's been on the shelf for a little more than two weeks and shouldn't need too many rehab games before being activated, assuming all goes well. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:00 pm

    • Michael Conforto could start rehab this week
Michael Conforto (hamstring) could start a rehab assignment later this week.

Advice: Fellow outfielder Austin Slater (concussion) is starting a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, and Conforto could join him later in the week. The 31-year-old is off to a tremendous start with a .280/.331/.490 slash line and seven home runs in 38 games. He was placed on the IL on May 12th and his return to the active roster could be bad news for one of Luis Matos or Heliot Ramos, who have been playing regularly since Conforto was injured. • Tyler O’Neill (knee) out of the lineup on Monday
Tyler O’Neill (knee) remains out of the lineup on Monday against the Orioles.

Advice: O’Neill exited Saturday’s game against the Brewers with right knee soreness and has now missed two straight games. The Red Sox haven’t expressed any concern and perhaps a few days off is just what the 28-year-old needs. O’Neill has struggled since missing a little over a week with concussion symptoms after a collision with Rafael Devers in left field. In 111 plate appearances since then, O’Neill is slashing .200/.279/.380 with four home runs, nine RBI, and a 40.5 percent strikeout rate. It’s hard to know which of these ailments is impacting him the most, but he’s clearly not fully healthy right now. Rotoworld Monday, 8:31 am

    • Breaks open game with homer
Rutschman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Rutschman inserted himself into a pitching duel between Kyle Bradish and Garrett Crochet, taking the latter deep in the sixth inning. This was Rutschman's first homer since May 15, and he went an uncharacteristically poor 6-for-30 (.200) over his eight contests in between long balls. The catcher is up to a .300/.338/.483 slash line with 10 homers, 35 RBI, 28 runs scored, seven doubles and one stolen base over 49 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:55 pm
