      Josh Winckowski blanked the Padres for five innings to pick a victory in his start Sunday.

      Advice: It’s his first win in nine starts dating back to Aug. 5, 2022. Winckowski generated quite a bit of soft contact today, which was important since he had just three missed swings and one strikeout. Interestingly, all three missed swings came on the slider that he threw just seven times in the 58-pitch outing.       Devers went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 4-1 win over the Padres on Sunday.

      Advice: Devers gave his team an early lead with his first-inning blast, his fourth homer in his last five games. The Red Sox slugger has broken out of a slump in which he hit only one home run over 15 games. Devers now has 14 extra-base hits and a 1.027 OPS in June, both leading all MLB third basemen.
