The 22-year-old now has 37 steals through 72 games this season, which puts him on pace to reach 80 thefts by the end of the campaign.       Advice: After serving up homers in each of his last two appearances, Bednar got back on track with a clean frame Monday. Bednar had a disastrous start to the season with 14 earned runs allowed in his first 13 outings, but he's turned it around with a 1.88 ERA over his last 19.1 innings.       Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with his 37th stolen base of the season on Monday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

      Advice: De La Cruz was one of the few bright spots in this one as Cincinnati’s offense was almost completely shut down by Pirates rookie ace Paul Skenes into the late innings of the first meeting between the two division rivals this year. The 22-year-old middle infielder remains on pace to steal roughly 80 bases this season as he’s picked it up on the bases recently, notching at least one theft in three straight contests.       David Bednar tossed a perfect frame on Monday against the Reds to record his 15th save of the season.

      Advice: Bednar was summoned to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 11 pitches (eight strikes) to spin a flawless frame. It was a nice rebound effort for the 29-year-old stopper after giving up solo homers in each of his previous two appearances. He’s converted 15 of his 18 save opportunities on the year.       Schwarber went 2-for-3 with a pair of two-run homers and two walks in Monday's 9-2 win over the Padres.

      Advice: The veteran slugger got the scoring started for the Phillies in the third inning with a two-run blast off Randy Vasquez and later added another two-run homer off Adrian Morejon in the sixth. It was Schwarber's second multi-HR game this season and the 28th of his career. Schwarber batted .179 in his first seven games of June, but he's found his power stroke of late with five homers over his last seven contests.       Kyle Schwarber launched a pair of two-run homers on Monday, leading the Phillies to a 9-2 blowout victory over the Padres.

It’s the second time in the last week that he’s accomplished the feat.
