    • Collects three hits Monday
Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI against the Rockies in Monday's 9-5 victory.

Advice: With Mookie Betts going down with a fractured left hand Sunday and set to miss several weeks, Rojas appears primed for a near-everyday role at shortstop. He did his best Betts impression Monday, notching three hits for the third time this season and scoring twice. Naturally, fantasy managers shouldn't expect Rojas to come anywhere near Betts' level of production, though the former Miami Marlin is having a solid season at the dish with a .292/.339/.460 slash line, three homers, 10 doubles, 15 RBI, 15 runs and three stolen bases through 121 plate appearances. • Belts homer in loss
Busch went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk against the Giants in Monday's loss.

Advice: Busch gave Chicago its first lead with a two-run blast to center field in the sixth inning. It was his first long ball over his past 17 contests and just his second across his past 32 games. Busch began the campaign with six homers through 16 contests, so the fact that he's still yet to reach double digits in that category emphasizes the extent to which he's slowed down. Still, the first baseman has been hitting well lately, batting .370 over his past 27 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm

    • Miguel Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Dodgers’ victory
Miguel Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Sure, Jazz Chisholm Jr. doesn’t seem to like him, but how badly did the Marlins botch things by trading Rojas for a prospect they didn’t even want a year and a half ago? Rojas is batting .292/.339/.460 in 121 plate appearances this season, and he’ll serve as the Dodgers’ primary shortstop while Mookie Betts is out. Meanwhile, the Marlins continue to roll with Tim Anderson, who might be the very worst player in the league. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:08 pm

    • Report: A’s designating J.D. Davis for assignment
The A’s have decided to cut J.D. Davis, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Advice: This is the move to make room for Lawrence Butler. We’re hard-pressed to see how Davis is worse than Seth Brown or even Abraham Toro, who has been pretty terrible since the A’s decided to make him their leadoff man. Still, none of this really matters — none of these guys are going to be part of the next competitive A’s team — but Davis might help someone else down the stretch. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Goes deep in loss
Turner went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's loss to Boston.

Advice: Turner scored Toronto's first run after drawing a walk in the second inning. He later ripped a solo shot in the sixth inning for his fifth home run of the year. He snapped a 33-game homerless drought, during which he slashed .155/.250/.191. Turner now owns a .691 OPS with 18 extra-base hits and 24 runs scored through 233 plate appearances. • Designated for assignment
Davis was designated for assignment by the Athletics on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Davis will now be available to be claimed off waivers and if he has no takers, Oakland is expected to release the 31-year-old. After being released by the Giants in March, Davis compiled a .236 average with four home runs, five RBI and 12 runs scored over 123 at-bats in 39 games with the Athletics this season. • Taking seat Monday
Flores is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Flores had started at first base in each of the Giants' last five games, with three starts coming versus lefties and two coming versus right-handers. Though the Giants seem content to deploy Flores as their primary first baseman rather than a platoon bat while LaMonte Wade (hamstring) is on the injured list, Flores will nonetheless give way to rookie Trenton Brooks on Monday. The Angels designated Tucker for assignment Monday.

Advice: Tucker will head to waivers after the Angels reinstated Brandon Drury (hamstring) from the 10-day IL. Tucker saw his playing time steadily decrease over the last month as he struggled at the plate, slashing .180/.263/.300 over 57 plate appearances. Tucker could garner interest via trade or waivers from teams in need of infield depth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:59 pm

    • Angels cut Cole Tucker from roster
Angels designated INF/OF Cole Tucker for assignment.

Advice: Tucker hit just .180/.263/.300 in 57 plate appearances for the Angels. He still offers plenty of defensive versatility, but it’s just not enough to justify a roster spot. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:49 pm
