    • Jordan Westburg leaves game with hip discomfort
Jordan Westburg was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Yankees with left hip discomfort.

Advice: Westburg collided awkwardly with Yankees slugger Juan Soto while fielding a first-inning grounder at third base and was lifted from the contest in the ensuing frame. It sounds like his early exit was merely for precautionary reasons, but he’ll presumably undergo some additional testing to rule out anything serious. The 25-year-old holds an .836 OPS with 11 homers and six steals in 275 plate appearances this season. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Exits early with hip injury
Westburg left Tuesday's contest with the Yankees in the bottom of the second inning with left hip discomfort, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Westburg struck out swinging to open the game in the top of the first inning and he was later removed from the contest in the bottom of the second. Westburg will certainly undergo imaging on his hip to determine the severity of the injury, but in the meantime, Ramon Urias replaced him at third base against New York. • Jordan Lawlar diagnosed with left hamstring strain
Diamondbacks SS prospect Jordan Lawlar has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain.

Advice: Lawlar is going to wind up missing at least 4-6 weeks after suffering the ailment over the weekend at Triple-A Reno. The 21-year-old top prospect missed the first couple months of the year recovering from thumb surgery and just made his season debut in the upper minors last week. Rotoworld Today, 4:22 pm
    • Javier Báez (back) resumes baseball activities
Javier Báez (back) has been cleared to resume baseball activities.

Advice: Báez landed on the injured list last week with back inflammation, so it’s a positive sign that he’s ready to resume hitting so quickly. It’s looking like he has a chance to return before the end of the month or in early July. Rotoworld Today, 4:12 pm

    • Miguel Vargas draws start Tuesday vs. Rockies
Miguel Vargas is in left field and batting eighth for Tuesday’s game against the Rockies.

Advice: Vargas draws his first start for the Dodgers since being recalled earlier this week from Triple-A Oklahoma City. The 24-year-old post-hype prospect tore the cover off the ball earlier this year in the minors and appears poised to finally get an extended shot in Los Angeles with Mookie Betts likely to miss at least two months. • Luis Rengifo returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Brewers
Luis Rengifo (wrist) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Brewers.

Advice: Rengifo came off the bench as a pinch-hitter during Monday’s contest and is back in the lineup following a brief absence due to a left wrist contusion. He appears to have avoided serious injury and shouldn’t miss any additional time moving forward. Rotoworld Today, 3:09 pm

Mastrobuoni was called up from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday.

Advice: Mastrobuoni will return to the major-league roster after being sent down May 20, replacing Mike Tauchman (groin) with the Cubs after Tauchman was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday. Mastrobuoni produced a .264 average with three home runs, 14 RBI, 16 runs scored and four stolen bases over 87 at-bats in 22 games with Iowa since his demotion. Rotowire.com Today, 3:02 pm

    • Back in lineup Tuesday
Rengifo (wrist) is starting at third base and batting second Tuesday against the Brewers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The 27-year-old was absent from Monday's starting nine due to a bruised left wrist, but he entered as a pinch hitter and played a couple innings at third base. Rengifo is batting .286 with six steals through 15 games in June, but he has just one extra-base hit this month and hasn't hit a home run since May 24. Rotowire.com Today, 2:55 pm

Toro isn't in the Athletics' lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Royals.
