    • Fires seven frames in loss
Cortes (1-2) took the loss against Oakland on Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

Advice: Cortes tossed a quality start of seven-plus frames for the third time in his past four outings, though he has just one win to his ledger over that span. All of the runs the left-hander gave up Thursday came in the third inning via a pair of long balls. Despite notching just one victory across six appearances, Cortes has done pretty well so far this season, posting a 3.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 32:5 K:BB over 36 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 12:03 am
    • Keeps rolling with another save
Miller notched a save against the Yankees on Thursday, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit and struck out three batters.

Advice: Miller continues to flourish in the closer role -- he's a perfect six-for-six in save opportunities so far and hasn't given up a run since his first outing of the campaign. The right-hander's heater is also paying off with big strikeout numbers, as he's racked up an impressive 23 punchouts over 11.1 frames. Despite the fact that Miller plays for one of the league's worst teams, he's quickly evolving into one of fantasy's most desirable closers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:58 pm

    • Smashes long ball in loss
Kim went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run against Colorado in a loss Thursday.

Advice: Kim's third-inning blast gave San Diego a short-lived three-run lead. The long ball was his fourth of the season and just his second extra-base hit over his past eight contests. Kim has added 17 RBI, 17 runs, seven steals and a .238/.339/.436 slash line through 119 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:12 pm

    • Mason Miller records four-out save vs. Yankees
Mason Miller recorded a four-out save on Thursday against the Yankees.

Advice: Miller might be the most electrifying pitcher in baseball at the moment. Athletics manager Mark Kotsay handed him the ball for a four-out save opportunity at Yankee Stadium and he immediately responded by striking out Jose Trevino on a 101 mph fastball to end the eighth inning. He came back out to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and recorded two additional strikeouts to successfully work around a one-out infield single from Anthony Volpe. The hard-throwing 25-year-old former top pitching prospect has converted all six of his save opportunities this season to go along with a microscopic 1.59 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 23/4 K/BB ratio across 11 1/3 innings (nine appearances). • Nestor Cortes completes seven frames against A’s
Nestor Cortes was charged with three runs over seven innings on Thursday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Cortes gave up third-inning homers to Nick Allen and Tyler Nevin, which accounted for all of the damage against him in this one, but didn’t get any run support from New York’s offense. The 29-year-old lefty will bring a serviceable 3.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 32/5 K/BB ratio across 36 innings (six starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the Orioles. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm
    • Ha-Seong Kim swats two-run homer vs. Rockies
Ha-Seong Kim hit a two-run homer Thursday against the Rockies while going 1-for-4.

Advice: Kim swatted a two-run homer in the third inning, and it’s the fourth homer of the season for the shortstop. The 28-year-old has shown some pop in the early portion of the season, and he’s also added seven stolen bases for good measure. The .240 average leaves a bit to be desired, for those looking for something to complain about. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:17 pm

    • Locks down eighth save
Clase earned the save Thursday against the Red Sox, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: It's the fifth straight scoreless outing from Clase -- he's allowed just one hit while striking out eight in his last five innings. Overall, the right-hander is 8-for-10 in save chances this year with a stellar 0.69 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 14:1 K:BB over 13 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:50 pm
    • Clase locks down 8th save of the season
Emmanuel Clase threw a scoreless ninth inning in a 6-4 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Clase struck out one and didn’t allow a baserunner in his one inning of work. He now has eight saves and a 0.69 ERA on the season. Considering how well the Guardians have been playing but that their offense doesn’t usually blow opponents out, Clase should be in line for quite a few save opportunities this season. • Takes seat against southpaw
Muncy is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: With the Dodgers and Nationals concluding their series with a day game after a night game and with southpaw MacKenzie Gore on the bump for Washington, Muncy is one of three lefty-hitting regulars who will get the afternoon off. Muncy will be joined on the bench by Gavin Lux and James Outman. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:57 am
