      Ragans (calf) is listed as the Royals' probable starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Brewers in Kansas City.

      Advice: Ragans experienced cramping in his left calf in his most recent start this past Tuesday against the Blue Jays, but he had already tossed 6.2 innings (105 pitches) and likely wouldn't have stayed in the game any longer even if he wasn't experiencing any discomfort. The Royals didn't suggest that Ragans required any follow-up testing, so he's not expected to face any restrictions as he takes the hill Monday for his eighth start of the season.       Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 5-1 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Hernandez homered for the second time in three games and has tallied at least a hit in 10-of-12 games since April 23. The 31-year-old is slashing .252/.320/.468 with eight homers, 25 RBI, 23 runs and a 13:49 BB:K in 153 plate appearances. Hernandez is showing increased signs of power from a year ago but strikeouts still remain an issue.     • Report: Tanner Scott could be next Marlin traded
      According to Buster Olney, sources told him that Tanner Scott is “the guy on their roster you’d look at” but Josh Bell could also interest teams as well.

      Advice: After the Marlins traded Luis Arraez this weekend, assuming a firesale would follow was only logical. Scott was electric as the closer for the Marlins last year, but has seen some control issues resurface this season. He has a 2.77 ERA and four saves, but he also has 14 walks in 13 innings. If he were to be traded, he would likely serve as a setup man, and the Marlins could turn back to A.J. Puk in the closer’s role which means Puk could be worth a speculative add in leagues.       Alvarado got the save in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Giants, allowing a solo home run while also striking out a batter in the ninth inning.

      Advice: Alvarado served up a one-out solo blast to Jakson Reetz that pulled the Giants to within a run but was able to recoup with a strikeout and line out to end the game.       Webb (3-3) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings.

      Advice: The Phillies scratched out a run versus Webb in the second before plating four more in the third, which was highlighted by Bryce Harper's three-run blast. Webb faced some more traffic in the fourth but ultimately got out of it unscathed with his day ending there after throwing 98 pitches. Following a dominant stretch of four consecutive outings allowing two runs or fewer and pitching at least seven innings, Webb has now given up four runs in back-to-back starts while failing to get more than 12 outs. The one positive note was that his six strikeouts set a season high.       José Alvarado served up a solo homer in the ninth inning on Sunday night, but was still able to close out the Giants to protect a one-run lead and secure his seventh save of the season.

      Advice: The 28-year-old southpaw gave up a one-out solo blast to Jakson Reetz that pulled the Giants to within a run, but he battled back to strike out Nick Ahmed and got Jung Hoo Lee on a fly ball to right field to end it.       Logan Webb wasn’t at his best in Sunday night’s loss to the Phillies, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits in his four innings of work.

      Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander punched out six batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. The Phillies scratched out a run against him in the second inning, then tacked on three more in the third including a two-run blast off the bat of Bryce Harper. Webb needed 98 pitches (59 strikes) to labor through 12 outs in this one, getting 10 swings and misses and posting a CSW of 26 percent.
