    • Jackson Chourio goes 0-for-2 in return to lineup
After sitting out four straight games, Jackson Chourio went 0-for-2 with a walk in his return to the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Chourio had a nicely hit liner, but it was caught by Brandon Crawford at short. The Brewers could have sent Chourio down last week, but they thought the break to work on things was a better idea. One imagines he’ll have to turn things around over the next 7-10 days in order to avoid a stint in Triple-A. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm

    • Crushes grand slam in win
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's win over the Padres.

Advice: Hernandez jumped on a hanging slider after being down 1-2 in the count with two outs in the sixth and sent it over the wall in left field for a grand slam, putting the Dodgers up 5-0. It marked the outfielder's 11th home run of the season and the fifth in his last eight games. He's now tied with Salvador Perez, Jose Ramirez and Juan Soto for second in the majors with 33 RBI on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:09 am
    • Teoscar Hernández hits grand slam to beat Padres
Teoscar Hernández slugged a grand slam on Saturday, lifting the Dodgers to a 5-0 victory over the Padres.

Advice: Hernández continues to make a significant impact in his Los Angeles debut. The 31-year-old lefty-mashing corner outfielder gave the Dodgers a commanding five-run advantage in the sixth inning by taking Padres reliever Enyel De Los Santos deep to left field for his 11th round-tripper of the season. He’s never going to be a standout in the batting average department at this stage of his career, but he’s continuing to hit for a ton of power and has been a run-producing machine in the heart of the Dodgers’ loaded lineup. • Not starting Saturday
Freeman is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman broke a three-game hitless streak during Friday's 6-3 loss when he swatted a solo home run, his first since April 19. Ramon Laureano will start in center field Saturday and bat sixth against White Sox right-hander Mike Clevinger. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:04 pm

    • Finding stride at plate
Acuna went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Mets.

Advice: He took Jose Quintana deep in the third inning, part of a four-run frame for Atlanta. Acuna may be turning things around at the plate -- after posting a 26.5 percent strikeout rate in April, he's fanned just 19.4 percent of the time through the first seven games in May. He's also batting .310 (9-for-29) to begin the month with two of his three homers on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:31 am

    • Swats fourth homer
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman hasn't been able to turn his hitting around in May -- he's gone 4-for-26 (.154) through nine games this month and is batting just .193 on the year. His homer Friday was his first since April 19, and only two of his hits in May have gone for extra bases. The 24-year-old has four homers, 13 RBI, 18 runs scored and four steals through 126 plate appearances. It's fair to question whether Freeman has earned his near-everyday role, but the Guardians are unlikely to shake things up too dramatically while Steven Kwan (hamstring) is out. • Ronald Acuña Jr. goes deep in win
Ronald Acuña Jr. hit just his third home run of the season Friday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: A welcome sight, Acuña’s homer was an impressive shot traveling an estimated 461 feet through the cold, rainy New York night at 114.2 mph exit velocity. Acuña’s power hasn’t been there yet this season, but patience is a virtue with a superstar of this level. Rotoworld Friday, 7:50 pm

    • On bench for third straight game
Chourio is absent from the lineup for Friday's game versus the Cardinals.

Advice: In three games since Christian Yelich returned from the injured list, Chourio has been out of the lineup each time, although he did get a couple plate appearances off the bench Wednesday. Yelich, Sal Frelick and Blake Perkins appear to be ahead of Chourio in the outfield pecking order, and Jake Bauers might be as well. The 20-year-old rookie is slashing just .205/.275/.397 through his first 25 MLB contests. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:46 pm

    • Jackson Chourio not in Thursday’s lineup
Jackson Chourio is not in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Chourio has shown some signs of life with six hits in 19 at-bats over his last seven contests, but he’ll take a seat to open Thursday’s contest with Christian Yelich back in left field, Sal Frelick in center and Jake Bauers in right. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:14 pm
