      Advice: Ragans first ran into trouble in the top of the second after surrendering a leadoff triple to Kevin Pillar to open the frame, which would eventually lead to three runs coming home for Los Angeles. The lefty would also surrender runs in the third and seventh innings, with the final two of those runs coming across after he was relieved by Nick Anderson. Ragans had given up two runs or fewer in each of his last three starts coming in, but ended up matching his season high with seven runs allowed in Saturday's loss.       Advice: The final line isn’t pretty, but it looks worse than it probably should as Ragans was charged with two additional runs following his exit from the contest when Nick Anderson allowed both inherited runners to cross the plate. A three-run homer by Jo Adell in the second inning was responsible for most of the damage against him in this one. The 26-year-old lefty notched only three strikeouts and issued one walk.       Teoscar Hernández slugged a grand slam on Saturday, lifting the Dodgers to a 5-0 victory over the Padres.

      Advice: Hernández continues to make a significant impact in his Los Angeles debut. The 31-year-old lefty-mashing corner outfielder gave the Dodgers a commanding five-run advantage in the sixth inning by taking Padres reliever Enyel De Los Santos deep to left field for his 11th round-tripper of the season. He’s never going to be a standout in the batting average department at this stage of his career, but he’s continuing to hit for a ton of power and has been a run-producing machine in the heart of the Dodgers’ loaded lineup.       Advice: Cruz got off to a slow start to the season, though he's managed multiple hits in four of his last five starts. Importantly, Cruz has greatly cut down on his strikeout rate, as he's punched out multiple times in a game only three times in his last 17 starts and struck out at a respectable 23.8 percent clip in that span.       Scott (0-1) took the loss against Atlanta on Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.

      Advice: Scott couldn't counter seven dominant no-hit innings by opposing starter Max Fried, but the rookie was impressive in his own right, racking up 15 swinging strikes and recording the second straight quality start to begin his career. The most significant blow against the right-hander was a two-run homer off the bat of Orlando Arcia, the first Scott's allowed at the big-league level. With word that the Mets won't have a hard innings limit for Scott this season, there's a good chance that he remains in the Mets' rotation moving forward even with Tylor Megill (shoulder) potentially returning from the injured list as soon as next week.
