• CJ Abrams sits against tough lefty
Like the rest of the Nationals’ lefty hitters, CJ Abrams is on the bench for Wednesday’s game against Garrett Crochet and the White Sox.

Advice: It makes for a weird lineup, as Ildemaro Vargas is playing left field and batting third and Rule 5 pick Nasim Nuñez is making just his second start of the year. It’s the first time Abrams has sat since Apr. 8, when he was dealing with hand soreness. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:16 am

  • Getting rare day off
Abrams is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Abrams started in both ends of Tuesday's doubleheader and the White Sox are bringing a lefty (Garrett Crochet) to the hill for Wednesday's series finale, so Nationals manager Dave Martinez likely decided that Abrams could benefit from a game off. With Abrams out of the lineup for the first time since April 8, lightly used Rule 5 pick Nasim Nunez will pick up a rare start at shortstop. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:19 am

  • Resting Wednesday
Yelich is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: With a lefty (Martin Perez) on the hill for Pittsburgh and the Brewers and Pirates getting together for a day game after a night game, the lefty-hitting Yelich will hit the bench in the series finale. Yelich's absence clears a spot in the outfield for Blake Perkins, who returns to the lineup after playing off the bench for the past two games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:41 am

  • Snaps out of funk
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Garcia entered Tuesday's game batting .154 in May but delivered his first homer since April 28 and his first multi-hit game since April 21. Even with the cold spell, Garcia is slashing .247/.297/.449 across 175 plate appearances with a .202 ISO, numbers which aren't too far off his 2022 and 2023 numbers. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:20 am

  • Adolis Garcia homers in two-hit night vs. CLE
Adolis Garcia went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Garcia’s ninth homer of the season came on a solo blast off Cleveland’s Ben Lively. It was the first homer of the month for Garcia, who has cooled off in a big way after a strong April. Garcia entered the day slashing .154/.193/.173 in the month of May and has become difficult to trust in fantasy as a result. Managers who are unwilling to bench him will have to hope he comes out of this slump sooner rather than later. Hopefully, Tuesday’s two-hit night is a step in the right direction. • Will Smith delivers in 10th as Dodgers down Giants
Will Smith delivered a two-run double in the top of the 10th to propel the Dodgers past the Giants 6-4 on Monday.

Advice: It was his second hit of the game. Smith hit .258., 260 and .261 the last three years, but he’s at .309 right now, and he has the exit velocity numbers to somewhat back it up. He’ll probably fade as the foul tips and other catching maladies pile up, but he’s been one of the NL’s best players to date. Rotoworld Monday, 10:42 pm

  • Doubles, triples, drives in three
Rosario went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBI and a run scored during Monday's win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Rosario's two-out, two-run triple in the first put the Rays on the board while his run-scoring double in the eighth provided the Rays with their final margin of victory. Rosario has found a regular role as the top utility man for Tampa, batting .296 with a .312 on-base percentage, six doubles, three triples, two homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs and five stolen bases over 138 plate appearances. • Drives in four runs
Ramirez went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two stolen bases, and two walks in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: Ramirez knocked two-run singles in both the eighth and ninth innings Monday. It was his first time drawing multiple walks or stealing multiple bases in a game this season. Ramirez was stuck in a 1-for-19 slump over his previous six games before Monday's performance. The veteran third baseman bumped his slash line to .242/.294/.455 with 37 RBI, seven steals and 16 extra-base hits through 41 games. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:40 pm

Advice: Ramirez contributed to the Guardians’ win with two-run singles in both the eighth inning and ninth inning. He also stole two bases which gives him seven on the season. Ramirez’ average is merely .242 on the season, but he’s up to 37 RBI in 41 games. Rotoworld Monday, 8:39 pm
