    • Stratton picks up fourth save Thursday
Chris Stratton picked up the save against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Stratton’s save was his fourth of the year. James McArthur is still in the late inning mix for the Royals, but he entered in the seventh inning of a tie game. McArthur has only one save this month, but has finished four games. Rotoworld Today, 3:50 pm
    • Spence allows two runs in no-decision Thursday
Mitch Spence allowed two runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Spence gave up six hits, walked one and struck out seven. Both of the runs he allowed came on solo home runs by Freddy Fermin. Spence has a 3.86 ERA and SO:BB of 50:15 in seven starts this year. The 26-year-old right-hander is set to face the Angels on the road.

    • Landon Knack starting Friday against Angels
Landon Knack will start on Friday against the Angels.

Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed to reporters following Thursday’s win over the Rockies that Knack will get the ball to kick off the Freeway Series against the Angels. The 26-year-old righty draws the starting assignment in place of an injured Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He’s posted a respectable 2.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 16/6 K/BB ratio across 20 2/3 innings (four starts) this season in the majors. He figures to get some extended run with both Yamamoto and Walker Buehler on the shelf for an extended period. There’s definitely some streaming appeal here for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 3:28 pm

    • Starting Friday
Knack will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start against the Angels on Friday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Knack has been extremely effective in the majors this season, posting a 2.61 ERA and 0.97 WHIP across 20.2 innings through his first four starts. He'll now return to Los Angeles to fill the opening in the Dodgers' rotation left by Yoshinobu Yamamoto's (shoulder) trip to the injured list, though there's a good chance Knack's time in the majors is only limited to Friday's outing. • Highly efficient in win
Nelson (5-5) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits in seven innings against the White Sox. He struck out two.

Advice: Nelson needed just 70 pitches to complete a highly efficient seven frames, including tossing 10 or fewer pitches in four of his seven completed innings. While he did allow a couple of batters to leave the yard, he never faced a stressful inning as only one other batter made it as far as first base. Nelson likely had more in the tank as he had thrown at least 80 during each of his last eight starts but the bullpen needed just 17 pitches over the final two innings to seal the victory. Nelson has three quality starts over his last four outings, allowing two runs or fewer in each of those three performances. He'll look to keep things rolling during his next start, likely to take place in the middle of next week when the Twins make the trip to Arizona. Rotowire.com Today, 3:10 pm

    • Ohtani blasts 21st home run against Rockies
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-3 with two walks and a solo home run against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Ohtani lead off the game with a home run off Rockies starter Ty Blach. The home run was his 21st of the year, which leads the National League. He’s hitting .318 with 59 runs, 53 RBI and 16 steals to boot.

    • Blach allows 10 hits, five runs in loss Thursday
Ty Blach allowed five runs in four innings and took the loss against the Dodgers on Thursday.

Advice: Blach gave up 10 hits, walked one and struck out two. He continues to give up hits in bunches as he’s now allowed 35 hits over his last four starts. Blach’s ERA is up to 5.13 on the season and he remains off the fantasy radar. The 33-year-old left-hander is set to face the Astros on the road next week.

    • Completes third bullpen session
Senzatela (elbow) tossed a 20-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Rockies are bringing Senzatela along slowly as he works his way back from July 2023 Tommy John surgery, but he already has three bullpen sessions under his belt since being cleared for mound work earlier this month. Senzatela said that he won't be cleared to face hitters until he builds up to around 30-to-40 pitches in his side sessions. He thus looks to be at least a couple weeks away from pitching in live batting practice at the Rockies' facility in Arizona. Rotowire.com Today, 2:23 pm

    • Chris Flexen pitches well, but bullpen blows lead
Chris Flexen held the Astros to just one run over six innings, but didn’t factor in the decision Thursday.

Advice: Flexen pitched well, the White Sox bullpen did not. He scattered five hits while striking out six against three walks. The 29-year-old left the game with a 3-1 lead, but Chicago’s beleaguered relievers gave up the lead quickly after. Flexen gets the Dodgers next week. No thank you. Rotoworld Today, 2:04 pm
