    • Stuck with first loss
Garrett (5-1) took the loss Wednesday against Cleveland, allowing a run on two hits and a walk in one inning. He struck out two.

Advice: After entering with the game tied 3-3 in the seventh inning, Garrett allowed a leadoff single to David Fry who'd advance to second on a wild pitch before eventually scoring on a Johnathan Rodriguez base hit. It's the first loss of the year for the 31-year-old Garrett -- he's allowed just two earned runs in his last 13.1 innings. Despite Wednesday's setback, Garrett's emerged as a top option in the Mets' bullpen and could see the occasional save chance with Edwin Diaz temporarily shifting to a lower-leverage role. Overall, Garrett sports a 1.04 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP while posting a stellar 14.9 K/9 across 26 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:35 am

    • Back in slump
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a walk Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Arozarena had a surge in power for the first two weeks of May, but he has struggled for the last week. In his last seven games, he has hit just .172 with a 29 percent strikeout to go along with three runs scored and no RBI. Arozarena's eight home runs and seven stolen bases for the season are salvaging his production, but that's paired with a .162 average and .262 wOBA. Rotowire.com Today, 6:49 am
    • Stuck with loss Wednesday
Irvin (4-2) allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits and struck out two without walking a batter over 3.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Irvin was called upon for a long-relief outing after John Means (elbow) exited following a rain delay. The severity of Means' injury is unknown at this time, but if it requires a stint on the injured list, Irvin has a clear path back to the rotation after making his last two appearances out of the bullpen. Irvin has pitched well this season with a 3.15 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 30:8 K:B over 45.2 innings through nine appearances (seven starts). Means' spot in the rotation is slated for a home start versus the Red Sox next week, and Irvin's appearance Wednesday would put him on schedule to step into that spot if necessary. • Another multi-hit game
Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two additional RBI and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 11-4 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Realmuto has generated a hit in 12 consecutive games and has reached via hit multiple times in six of those contests. However, Wednesday's solo homer off Dane Dunning was his first of that stretch and his three RBI were his most since April. Realmuto is batting .377 with three doubles and 11 runs scored during his hit streak. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:46 pm
    • J.T. Realmuto homers, drives in three in win
J.T. Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a homer, three RBI, and two runs scored in the Phillies’ 11-4 win over the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Realmuto put the Phillies ahead early with his home run off Dane Dunning and then broke the game open with a two-run single late. The ageless wonder is having a fantastic age-33 season with seven homers and a .283 average in the early going. That would be Realmuto’s highest batting average since 2016. • Jurickson Profar scores twice in victory over Reds
Jurickson Profar doubled, walked, scored a pair of runs and collected an RBI on Wednesday as the Padres triumphed over the Reds.

Advice: Profar worked Nick Martinez for a leadoff walk in the fourth inning and scored on a fielder’s choice off the bat of David Peralta. He also chased Martinez from the game with an RBI double in the fifth inning, then came around to score on a run-scoring single off the bat of Jake Cronenworth. He’s in the midst of an outstanding season at the dish — slashing .339/.431/.517 to go along with seven homers, 32 RBI and three stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:54 pm

    • Gunnar Henderson reaches three times in O’s loss
Gunnar Henderson singled and walked twice on Wednesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Henderson kicked off the scoring with an RBI single in the third inning and wound up reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances. The 22-year-old franchise cornerstone is in the midst of one of the best stretches of his young career, batting .280/.419/.840 with four homers and one steal over his last seven games. • Heads to IL with strained hamstring
The White Sox placed Jimenez on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Jimenez tweaked the hamstring while running the bases in Tuesday's game in Toronto. The severity of the strain isn't yet known, so it's unclear how much time the designated hitter might miss. Soft-tissue injuries continue to plague Jimenez, who also missed time with an adductor strain earlier this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:36 pm

    • White Sox lose Eloy Jiménez to IL due to hamstring
White Sox placed DH Eloy Jiménez on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.

Advice: So many leg injuries. Jiménez’s numbers aren’t great or even very good, but from an xwOBA perspective, he had really picked it up in recent weeks, and Statcast though he should have been slugging .465, rather than his current .381. The White Sox will put Gavin Sheets at DH while Jiménez is out, which at least will improve the defense. Corey Julks, Dominic Fletcher and Zach DeLoach will battle for at-bats in right.
