      Manager Pat Murphy said Friday that Williams (back) is scheduled to begin playing catch within the next two weeks, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

      Advice: Williams will be looked at by a doctor within the next few days, which will help determine how far away he is from beginning a throwing program.       Advice: Contreras capped off a strong three-hit effort with a run-scoring single in the seventh inning that raised his full-season batting average to a remarkable .340 (50-for-147) mark through 37 games. The 26-year-old burgeoning fantasy star won’t sustain a .402 BABIP for much longer, but he’s proven that he’s going to be right around the .300 mark from a batting average standpoint thanks to his consistent hard contact and line-drive rate.       Corbin Carroll knocked in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning Thursday to help the D-Backs to a 5-4 win over the Reds.

      Advice: In what has been a very disappointing season for Carroll, the 23-year-old came up big Thursday with an RBI single to score Tucker Barnhart that broke a 4-4 tie and ultimately gave Arizona the victory. The 23-year-old was one of the best fantasy players regardless of age, and while his .206/.300/.270 slash is anything but ideal, there’s obvious reasons to believe he’ll bounce back considerably in the summer months.       Arcia went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer in Wednesday's win over Boston.

      Advice: The 29-year-old took Nick Pivetta deep in his first at-bat, going back-to-back with Marcell Ozuna as Atlanta jumped out to an early 4-0 lead. Arcia then followed up another Ozuna home run with a double in the third but was left stranded. It marked the shortstop's 11th multi-hit performance of the season, though his previous one came back on April 26. He's also hit safely in four of his last five contests.       Advice: Stanton hit one of three homers for New York in the victory, taking Spencer Arrighetti deep for a 447-foot solo blast in the third inning. It was the second straight game with a long ball for the slugger, and he extended his modest hitting streak to five games. Stanton has struck out 10 times in 20 at-bats over that stretch, so he's far from locked in at the plate, but three of his five hits during the streak have gone for extra bases.       Nathaniel Lowe went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs scored, and a pair of walks in the Rangers’ 12-11 win in the second game of a doubleheader against the Athletics on Wednesday.

      Advice: Lowe drew a walk in the third inning and scored on a base hit by Jonah Heim. He brought two more runs in to score for Texas with a base hit in the fourth. Lowe reached again with a walk in the eighth and scored on a single by Josh Smith before adding a third RBI with a single in the ninth.       Singer (3-1) earned the win Wednesday against Milwaukee, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Singer tallied his first win in five starts, yielding one run for a third consecutive outing. He settled in nicely after allowing doubles to the first two batters he faced, keeping the Brewers off the scoreboard following the first frame. Singer has allowed more than two runs in just one start this season and owns a 2.36 ERA with 46 strikeouts across 45.2 innings. He's lined up for a start in Seattle on Monday.
