• Brent Rooker stays hot with two hits in loss
Brent Rooker went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in a loss to the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Rooker now has hits in seven of his last eight games and has six hits in this weekend’s series against the Marlins alone. He’s now slashing .256/.348/.615 on the year with eight home runs and 20 RBI. Rooker is a notoriously streaker hitter, so we have no idea how long this heater will last, but he should be on rosters while he’s swinging the bat this well. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:55 pm

  • Drives in three
Soto went 1-for-4 with three RBI during Sunday's 5-2 win over the Tigers. He struck out twice.

Advice: Soto had a rough go of it against Detroit starter Tarik Skubal, striking out twice against the tough lefty. However, Soto fared much better against southpaw reliever Andrew Chafin, clearing the bases with a seventh inning double to break a 2-2 tie and provide the winning runs for the Yankees. Soto's average stands at .316 with a .980 OPS, including eight homers, 28 RBI, 23 runs and four steals over 136 at-bats during his first season in the Bronx. The RBI were his first over five games in May. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:49 pm

  • Juan Soto propels Yankees past Tigers on Sunday
Juan Soto delivered a go-ahead three-run double in the seventh inning on Sunday, propelling the Yankees to a 5-2 victory over the Tigers in the Bronx.

Advice: The Tigers came back with a pair of runs to tie the game in the top half of the seventh inning, but the Yankees’ bats went right back to work in the home half of the frame. They loaded the bases against Shelby Miller with a single and a pair of walks, then Soto greeted Andrew Chafin with a three-run double into right field to put the Bombers back on top to stay. The 25-year-old superstar finished the day 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts and is now hitting .316/.421/.559 with eight homers, 28 RBI and four stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:05 pm

  • Homers twice in third inning
Rooker went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Saturday's 20-4 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: HE became the first Athletics player to homer twice in the same inning since Mark McGwire did it in September of 1996. Rooker did it during Oakland's 10-run third inning Saturday, taking starter Trevor Rogers deep with a two-run shot and then reliever Darren McCaughan over the boards with a three-run blast. He also added a single and a walk. Rooker is up to eight home runs on the season even after going on the injured list last month. Of course, he's also hitting just .240 and striking out at a 36.5 percent rate, but fantasy managers knew what they were getting into with Rooker and should be satisfied with the returns 22 games in. • Brent Rooker powers A’s in 20-run explosion
Brent Rooker went 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI in a 20-4 win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: With a runner on in the third inning, Rooker took Trevor Rogers deep for a two-run homer. The A’s would bat around the order, adding five more runs before Rooker blasted a three-run shot for his second of the inning in Oakland’s offensive explosion. He added a walk and a base hit, ending his day slashing .240/.329/.600 with eight homers and 20 RBI across 85 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:25 pm

  • Goes deep in win
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rooker opened the scoring Friday night, crushing a titanic 440-foot homer off Ryan Weathers in the fourth inning to give Oakland the lead. Despite sporting a .211 batting average, the Athletics designated hitter has provided plenty of power with six homers while slugging .507. Rooker may be heating up along with the spring weather, as he's hit .269 (7-for-26) with two homers and eight RBI over his last eight games. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:41 pm

  • Brent Rooker swats homer as A’s top Marlins
Brent Rooker hit a two-run homer to help the A’s to a win Friday over the Marlins.

Advice: Rooker absolutely scorched a two-run blast off Ryan Weathers to center, with the ball travelling an estimated 440 feet. That’s the sixth-homer of the season for the right-hander, and he’s up to 15 RBI over the A’s first 32 games. The average (.211) and stolen bases (1) leave much to be desired, but Rooker can certainly provide some pop. Rotoworld Friday, 9:06 pm

  • Lands on injured list
The Twins placed Buxton on the 10-day injured list Friday with right knee inflammation, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: The MRI on his right knee didn't show any structural damage, and GM Derek Falvey indicated Buxton may only require a minimum-length stay on the injured list. However, given the 30-year-old's injury history, there's hardly a guarantee this absence is a brief one. Austin Martin is joining the Twins in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:48 pm

  • Byron Buxton (knee) lands on 10-day injured list
Twins placed OF Byron Buxton on the 10-day injured list with right knee inflammation.

Advice: The Twins haven’t commented publicly on the results of Buxton’s MRI exam yet, but the fact that they’re terming the injury as only inflammation and not anything structural is certainly encouraging. Twins’ manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters that he’s hopeful Buxton will be able to return in 10-14 days, but that seems a bit optimistic given Buxton’s lengthy injury history. Austin Martin was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move to take his place on the active roster. Rotoworld Friday, 1:41 pm
