• Tosses quality start for fourth win
King (4-4) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in a 7-3 victory over the Reds. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander delivered his fifth quality start of the year, and his third in four May outings, on 92 pitches (62 strikes). King has had trouble maintaining consistency as he adjusts to being a full-time starting pitcher, but his 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB through 25 innings this month is encouraging. He'll look to put together another solid start in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Marlins. Rotowire.com Today, 7:50 am

  • Homers in loss
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Alonso opened the scoring in the first inning, sending a fastball from Triston McKenzie into the right-field seats for his 11th homer of the year. The 29-year-old Alonso has put together an eight-game hitting streak while going 18-for-59 (.305) with three homers and a .936 OPS in his last 14 contests. He's now slashing .236/.313/.466 with 24 RBI and 28 runs scored through 214 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:28 am

  • Homers in win
Marte went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Marte singled in his first at-bat to extend his hitting streak to 23 games and later added a solo homer to lead off the eighth, giving the Diamondbacks a 5-0 lead. The long ball was the second baseman's fifth this month and he's now recorded at least one RBI in three of his last five games, batting .318 over that brief stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 7:26 am

  • Ketel Marte homers, extends hit streak to 21 games
Ketel Marte went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in the Diamondbacks’ 6-0 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Marte came into this one riding a 20-game hitting streak. He extended it to 21 games right away with a base hit in the first inning. Marte later took Ryan Yarbrough deep for a solo homer in the eighth inning. The 30-year-old second baseman is hitting .291/.339/.523 with 10 homers, 35 runs scored, and 27 RBI across 221 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:03 pm

  • Bounces back against Marlins
Peralta (3-3) took the loss Wednesday against Miami, allowing one run on four hits and a walk across seven innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Peralta was locked into a pitcher's duel with Jesus Luzardo, with a leadoff home run by Jazz Chisholm in the first inning being enough to push Peralta into the loss column. Still, fantasy managers saw the dominant version of Peralta that garnered early Cy Young consideration before his ERA ballooned from 1.90 on April 19 to 4.17 before Wednesday's outing. Through the ups and downs, Peralta's strikeout production has maintained, with 71 K's across 56.2 innings on the year. The 28-year-old is lined up to pitch Monday against the Cubs at American Family Field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm
  • Opens scoring Wednesday
Judge went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Judge saw an eight-game hitting streak snapped Tuesday, but he's reached base in 10 straight contests. During the on-base streak, he's gone 15-for-34 (.441) with five homers, nine RBI, 12 runs scored, six doubles and an 11:9 BB:K. The slugger has been strong at the plate all year, slashing .268/.405/.585 with 14 long balls, 34 RBI, 32 runs scored, 16 doubles and two stolen bases over 51 contests. Judge's 24.7 percent strikeout rate is the lowest mark of his career, which should allow him to continue to succeed as long as he keeps it in check. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:21 pm

  • Throws seven scoreless innings
Bassitt (4-6) earned the win Wednesday over the White Sox, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out four over seven scoreless innings.

Advice: Bassitt threw 70 of 107 pitches for strikes and no trouble protecting the large lead the Blue Jays established in the second inning. He's allowed three runs or fewer in each of his four starts in May, with Wednesday's effort being his best game of the year. The veteran right-hander is at a 4.39 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 49:25 K:BB through 55.1 innings over 10 starts this season. Bassitt's next start is projected to be a rematch with the White Sox in Chicago. • Merrill Kelly heading for follow-up MRI exam
Merrill Kelly is scheduled to undergo a follow-up MRI exam on his injured shoulder this week to see how he is progressing.

Advice: Kelly has been shelved since mid-April due to a right shoulder strain. Hopefully after this week’s exam, we’ll at least get some sort of timeline on how long it’ll be before we see him on a big league mound again. The 35-year-old hurler had registered a 2.19 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and a 21/6 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 innings through his first four starts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:41 pm

  • Swats late homer
Diaz went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Diaz knocked in a run with a groundout in the second inning and added a solo shot in the ninth. He's up to four homers this season, three of which have come in his last 12 games, a span in which he's hitting .313 (15-for-48). The infielder is slashing .255/.321/.360 with 25 RBI, 22 runs scored, no stolen bases and nine doubles over 50 contests this season. Diaz had a career-high 22 homers in 2023, but that was an anomaly for him from a power standpoint -- he's much more of a contact-first hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:34 pm
