    Advice: Betts scored the decisive run in the contest by walking, swiping second base and crossing the plate on a Freddie Freeman double in the eighth inning. Betts seems to be running more frequently so far this season -- the stolen base was his sixth of the campaign through 27 contests, putting him well on pace to reach 20 steals for the first time since 2018. That has to be sweet music to his fantasy managers' ears, and Betts is paying huge dividends in other areas as well, slashing .374/.477/.636 with six homers, 21 RBI and 27 runs.     Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in a 2-1 win over Washington.

    Advice: Hernandez's second-inning solo shot put the Dodgers on the board and amounted for half of the team's total output of runs in the low-scoring win. The long ball was the slugger's sixth of the campaign and his first over his past 11 contests. Hernandez has trailed off a bit of late after a strong start to his Dodgers tenure, but he still ranks second on the team and is tied for 11th in the majors with 20 RBI.     Goodman went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Thursday in a 10-9 victory versus San Diego.

    Advice: Goodman's eighth-inning, three-run blast was enormous not only in terms of distance (it traveled an estimated 448 feet) but also in terms of impact, as it brought the Rockies to within two runs in what was to become a successful late comeback. The homer was Goodman's first hit in six at-bats since being promoted from Triple-A on Wednesday. The 2021 fourth-round draft pick had seven long balls through 91 plate appearances in the minors prior to the call-up and knocked 34 home runs over 106 minor-league contests last year, so his potential for big-league power is intriguing, especially given his home field.     Advice: Goodman was just recalled Wednesday from Triple-A, and he has his first homer of the season. The 24-year-old hit seven homers over 20 games in Triple-A and has shown easy power in his right-handed bat, but there are reasons to worry that he’ll be a contributor in any other category.     Advice: Brennan opened the scoring with a solo shot off Chase Anderson in the second inning, his third homer of the year. Brennan's started to swing the bat well recently -- he's now 6-for-13 with five extra-base hits (including two homers) in his last four games. The left-handed Brennan has gotten the majority of starts in right field this season with Ramon Laureano occupying the short side of the platoon.     Nationals activated OF Stone Garrett from the 10-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Rochester.

    Advice: Garrett was headed to Triple-A Rochester on a rehab assignment anyway, so this is merely a procedural move. The 28-year-old outfielder is going to need an extended stint in the minors to get back into form after undergoing surgery last August to repair a fractured fibula in his left leg.
