    • Yusei Kikuchi bounces back with six strong in victory
Yusei Kikuchi allowed just a run over six innings against the Orioles on Thursday to pick up a win.

Advice: Kikuchi struck out six while scattering four hits with just one walk. It’s a vastly improved effort from the one Saturday against the Pirates when the southpaw allowed six runs on nine hits in that loss. Consistency has never been Kikuchi’s forte, but outside of a solo homer allowed to Adley Rutschman, this was a reminder of what the 32-year-old is capable of. He’s lined up to face the Brewers next week. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:37 pm

    • Strikes out seven Wednesday
Fedde allowed three runs on six hits and struck out seven without issuing a walk over five innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Fedde left the game in line for the win until the Cubs rallied ahead in the seventh inning. He had quality starts in four of his six outings in May, but he's given up seven runs over his last 10 innings across two starts. Fedde is at a 3.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 73:22 K:BB through 74.1 innings over 13 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at Seattle. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:05 pm

    • Erick Fedde gives up three runs in no-decision
Erick Fedde allowed three runs with seven strikeouts across five innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Fedde gave up a run in the second inning on three hits and worked out of a bases loaded jam. He settled in for two scoreless frames before getting into more trouble in the fifth. Three base hits loaded the bases with one out. Cody Bellinger brought a run in on a groundout and a second run would come in on a balk before Fedde got out of the inning. He’d be done after five frames with seven strikeouts in line for the win, but the White Sox would unable to hold on to the lead. The 31-year-old right-hander will take a 3.27 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 73/22 K/BB ratio across 74 1/3 innings into a start against the Mariners in Seattle on Monday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:11 pm

    • Falls to St. Louis
Blanco (5-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Cardinals, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Blanco held St. Louis to one run through his first four frames before surrendering three runs between the fifth and sixth innings. After starting the year 5-0, Blanco's now dropped back-to-back starts while allowing eight runs across 9.1 innings in that span. The 30-year-old right-hander still sports a solid 2.78 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP and 59:27 K:BB across 11 starts (64.2 innings) this year. Blanco will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week in San Francisco. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:58 pm

    • Ronel Blanco allows four runs in loss to Cards
Ronel Blanco gave up four runs over 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Blanco has cooled off a bit of late after opening the season in dominant fashion, failing to complete six frames in five of his last seven starts since April 27. He gave up five hits, including a solo homer to Nolan Arenado, and finished with only a pair of strikeouts in this one, his lowest single-start total of the year. He’ll bring a solid 2.78 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 59/27 K/BB ratio across 64 2/3 innings (11 starts) into a road matchup on Tuesday against the Giants at Oracle Park. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:29 pm

    • Headed for second opinion
Gasser is traveling to Los Angeles to receive a second opinion on his injured left elbow from Dr. Neal ElAttrache, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Gasser was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left flexor strain, but the pitcher and the Brewers are still trying to get a better handle on his diagnosis and treatment options. More information on a potential timetable for Gasser could be available later this week. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:55 am

    • Placed on IL with flexor strain
The Brewers placed Gasser on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left flexor strain.

Advice: Initial testing on Gasser's left elbow provided encouraging results, but a second opinion evidently revealed the strain. It's not clear at this point how much time the rookie southpaw might miss, but he'll almost certainly miss more than the minimum 15 days. Gasser has been a bright spot for Milwaukee this season, posting a 2.57 ERA and 16:1 K:BB over 28 frames covering five starts. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:22 am

    • Brewers lose Robert Gasser to flexor strain
Brewers placed LHP Robert Gasser on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 2, with a left flexor strain.

Advice: Gasser is traveling to receive another opinion on his elbow. The Brewers have Aaron Ashby and Tobias Myers up to act as maybe their fourth and fifth starters for now. Hopefully, Jakob Junis and Joe Ross will return in a couple of weeks, and maybe there’s a chance Gasser will be back then, too. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:17 am

    • Initial MRI encouraging
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Tuesday that Gasser (elbow) might miss some time but that the first MRI looked "pretty normal," Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: The left-hander will receive a second opinion for the tightness and soreness in his elbow, but the initial imaging results are encouraging. Gasser still seems unlikely to avoid a stint on the injured list given it's an elbow issue, but the Brewers have yet to make an official roster move. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:18 pm
