    • Marcus Semien homers in eighth to lead Rangers
Marcus Semien hit his fifth homer Friday as the Rangers bested the Reds 2-1.

Advice: Semien nearly had two homers, but his 410-foot drive to center in the fifth, which Statcast said would have been gone in 18 parks, was caught at the wall. The actual homer was hit 392 feet and broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth. It gave hm 19 runs scored and 20 RBI in 27 games, even though it doesn’t seem like either he or the Rangers offense as a whole has really caught fire yet. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm
    • Homers again Sunday
Westburg went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a triple, a walk and two total RBI in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Royals.

Advice: Westburg is up to a nine-game hitting streak, going 16-for-35 (.457) with three homers and 10 RBI in that span. The 25-year-old is thriving in a near-everyday role, often playing at third base versus right-handed pitchers and at second base against southpaws. He's up to five homers, 18 RBI, 14 runs scored and three stolen bases while slashing .333/.392/.639 through 80 plate appearances. Westburg launched just three homers in 68 major-league games a year ago. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:07 pm

    • Jordan Westburg homers, triples versus Royals
Jordan Westburg delivered a homer and a triple against the Royals in Sunday’s win.

Advice: Westburg also walked. He’s 18-for-41 with four homers, 13 RBI and three steals in his last 11 games, improving his season line to .333/.392/.639. The guess going into the year was that he’d be solid but probably not mixed-league worthy, particularly with what Camden Yards does to right-handed power, but he’d looked terrific so far. • Logs steal in win
Westburg went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 9-7 win over the Royals.

Advice: Westburg remains hot at the plate with an eight-game hitting streak, going 14-for-32 (.438) with four multi-hit efforts in that span. He's picked up all three of his steals this season over his last nine games. The infielder is slashing .319/.373/.565 with four home runs, 16 RBI, 13 runs scored and five doubles over 76 plate appearances in a near-everyday role. Westburg's playing time remains safe. • Jordan Westburg plates two against Kansas City
Jordan Westburg collected two hits with two RBI in a victory over the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: The Orioles were able to get to Cole Ragans early and often — often is an understatement as they scored seven in 1 2/3 innings — and Westburg contributed with a two-run single in the second. The 25-year-old doesn’t get the same plaudits as some of the other young stars on the Baltimore roster, but he deserves attention. He’s going to be a strong fantasy option for a long time even as an infielder that doesn’t steal bases. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:21 pm

    • Goes deep in loss
Semien went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Friday's loss to Atlanta.

Advice: Semien's fourth homer of the year put Texas in front immediately, and his sixth-inning single sparked a rally to tie the game at 3-3, but the Rangers' offense ultimately wasn't able to keep up with Atlanta's. Semien has logged a hit in seven of his last eight games while slugging three homers in that span. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:11 am
    • Homer, three hits in win
Semien went 3-for-6 with a solo homer, a double and an additional run scored in Thursday's 9-7 victory over Detroit.

Advice: Semien led off the afternoon with a homer off Kenta Maeda, his third longball of the year, before adding two more hits later in the contest as he wound up a triple shy of a cycle. The 33-year-old Semien has gotten off to another strong start this season while serving as Texas' primary leadoff man, slashing .286/.355/.464 with 17 RBI and 16 runs scored through his first 93 plate appearances. • Marcus Semien homers, picks up three hits in win
Marcus Semien homered while going 3-for-5 against the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Semien swatted a leadoff homer off Kenta Maeda, and it was one of three homers for the Rangers of Maeda in the victory. Semien also doubled, and he’s up to six doubles on the season to go with three homers and 17 RBI over 19 games. Even while hitting at the top of the lineup, the 33-year-old remains one of the better run-producers at the second base — or any other — position. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:21 pm
