• Homers, reaches four times
Merrill went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk in Saturday's win over Milwaukee.

Advice: Merrill singled in his first at-bat before crushing a three-run shot off Carlos Rodriguez in the fourth to put San Diego on the board. The shortstop would reach four times on the night and has now recorded multiple hits in three of his last four games. He's also homered in three of his last four and in seven of his last 10 while posting at least one RBI in four straight. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:45 am

  • Instrumental in win
Duran went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Duran made two big plays in the final innings to spur Boston to a win. In the eighth, he tagged up on a shallow foul out and beat Stuart Fairchild's throw to the plate for the go-ahead run. An inning later, Duran victimized Fairchild again, robbing him of a home run by reaching over the fence to record the second out. The scorching hot Duran is batting .385 (20-for-52) over a 12-game hit streak. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:56 am

  • Pops homer in win
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Ramirez put the Guardians ahead for good with a third-inning blast, which was his first extra-base hit since June 9. He's gone 8-for-33 (.242) over his last eight games, but he's made up for the quieter bat by adding four stolen bases in that span. Overall, the star third baseman has a .271/.330/.528 slash line with 19 homers, 67 RBI, 56 runs scored and 14 steals through 71 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:08 pm
  • Goes yard again
Kwan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kwan saw a 14-game hitting streak end Friday with an 0-for-4 performance, but he rebounded nicely Saturday. The homer was his third in June, and he's added six doubles, 10 RBI and 16 runs scored this month. The outfielder has matched his career high with six long balls, and with over half of the season to go, he has a reasonable chance at double digits. He's slashing a fantastic .390/.449/.564 with 22 RBI, 45 runs scored, three stolen bases, 12 doubles and two triples over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:05 pm

  • Sitting versus lefty
Stubbs isn't in the Phillies' lineup for Saturday's game versus Arizona.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Stubbs will take a seat Saturday as the lefty-throwing Tommy Henry starts on the bump for the Diamondbacks. Rafael Marchan will instead start at catcher while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:00 am
