      Doval picked up the save over the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing one hit over a scoreless ninth inning while striking out one.

      Advice: Doval entered the contest with a one-run lead in the ninth and surrendered a leadoff single to Dansby Swanson before retiring the next three batters in succession to secure his 14th save of the campaign. The right-hander has now converted each of his last five save attempts and has allowed only one baserunner over his last three appearances.       Mullins went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a 4-2 victory versus the Guardians on Wednesday.

      Advice: Mullins broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning with a solo shot to right field. The outfielder finished with his fifth multi-hit effort over his past seven contests, a span in which he's batting .407 (11-for-27) with two homers, four RBI and seven runs.       Advice: Henderson knocked in Baltimore's first two runs with a single in the second inning and a solo shot to center field in the fifth. The talented young shortstop has gone deep eight times over 24 games in June, including four times across his past six contests. Henderson ranks second in the majors with 26 homers through 79 games on the campaign and needs just two more long balls to match the 28 home runs he belted over 150 contests last year.       Camilo Doval struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Cubs on Wednesday.

      Cease (7-6) earned the win over Washington on Wednesday, pitching seven scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit and issued two walks while striking out nine batters.

      Advice: The only hit Cease surrendered during his seven frames was a two-out single by Nick Senzel in the fifth inning. Remarkably, this was the San Diego right-hander's third outing this season during which he gave up exactly one hit in seven frames, and he unsurprisingly has picked up a victory in all three of those starts. Cease had been struggling coming into Wednesday, giving up 11 runs over his previous two starts covering 8.1 innings during his worst two-game stretch of the campaign.       Arenado went 1-for-8 over both games of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

      Advice: Arenado played all 18 innings Wednesday at third base in his return from a left forearm injury. He didn't make much of an impact at the plate, but it's encouraging to see the 33-year-old play both halves of the twin bill. He's down to a .254/.310/.364 slash line with six home runs, 32 RBI, 26 runs scored and one stolen base over 73 contests this year. The Cardinals have occasionally used Brandon Crawford and Brendan Donovan at the hot corner, and they could continue to be an option there if Arenado is out of the lineup or limited to designated hitter at any point in the future, as his forearm issue is believed to be a lingering one. He joined Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Juan Soto as the only players with an OPS over 1.000. He also has 13 stolen bases, 70 runs scored, and 57 RBI while playing elite shortstop defense.
