    • Moved down to sixth spot
Bichette will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Wednesday's contest in Philadelphia.

Advice: Bichette had already been dropped down in the Blue Jays' batting order in recent days, and the No. 6 spot is the lowest he has hit since August 2022. The 26-year-old is just 3-for-40 over his last 11 games to drag his season batting line down to an ugly .189/.246/.268. Rotowire.com Today, 8:29 am

    • Bo Bichette ejected from Saturday’s ballgame
Bo Bichette was ejected from Saturday’s ballgame against the Nationals after spiking his helmet in frustration to a questionable called-third strike.

Advice: The slumping 26-year-old shortstop appeared to take exception to a pitch that grazed the outside corner against him, and he took out some frustration on his helmet. Home plate umpire Jonathan Parra didn’t take kindly to that though and gave him the heave-ho. He’ll catch the rest of Saturday’s game from the clubhouse. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:36 pm

    • Bo Bichette drives in run in loss
Bo Bichette went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Bichette continues to make an elite amount of contact but also swing at pitches that he can’t really do much damage on. As a result, he has a .213 average and just a .306 slugging percentage on the season. The RBI was his 11th of the year, and while the 26-year-old could likely use a more selective approach at the plate, he’s too talented to take out of your lineup right now. • Swats homer No. 10
Henderson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's 2-0 win over the Yankees.

Advice: The 22-year-old shortstop gave Grayson Rodriguez and the Orioles bullpen all the offense they would need when he took Clarke Schmidt deep in the first inning. Henderson has gone yard four times in the last six games, giving him 10 homers on the season -- tied with Mike Trout for the MLB lead. Henderson sports a .289/.352/.632 slash line with six steals, 23 RBI and 25 runs through 28 contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:13 pm

    • Gunnar Henderson homers in win over Yanks
Gunnar Henderson went 1-for-3 with a leadoff home run in Monday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson got the O’s on the board early in the first frame with a solo shot that was 112.3 MPH off the bat, making it his hardest hit home run this season. It’s the 22-year-old’s 10th home run and third leadoff home run this season. The reigning AL Rookie of the Year has been even better slashing .289/.352/.632 through 28 games in 2024. • Bo Bichette gets a day off on Monday
Bo Bichette is not in the lineup on Monday against the Royals

Advice: It’s been a tough start to the year for Bichette, who is slashing just .210/.263/.305 with one home run and three steals. Bichette continues to make a solid amount of contact, but he also continues to chase pitches outside of the zone at a high rate. Even though he makes contact on those pitches, and has a lower swinging strike rate than last year, he’s now hitting the ball on the ground over 52 percent of the time and has just a 2.3 percent barrel rate. His approach may need to change in order for him to get back to his high batting average. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at shortstop and betting eighth in his place. • Steps out of starting nine
Bichette is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

Advice: The Blue Jays haven't indicated that Bichette is nursing an injury or dealing with an illness, so his absence from the lineup for Monday's series opener likely amounts to a maintenance day. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will slide over from third base to man shortstop in place of Bichette, who had started in every game dating back to April 2. Bichette's day off comes while he's managed just one hit in 18 at-bats over his last five games, dropping his batting average to .210 for the season. Rotowire.com Apr 29, 12:11 pm
