    • Kyle Finnegan notches 12th save of the season
Kyle Finnegan recorded his 12th save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Orioles.

Advice: Finnegan pitched a perfect ninth inning to close out the Orioles in the 3-0 win. The Nationals closer is now 12-of-13 in save opportunities this season and is a perfect 3-for-3 in save opportunities this month. He and the Nationals will look to record a two-game sweep of the Orioles in the short series on Wednesday. Rotoworld Today, 6:14 pm

    • Tosses scoreless frame
Jansen pitched one scoreless inning, allowing one hit in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Jansen was locked into appearing in Sunday's contest no matter what, and he worked around an error by his defense and a single for a scoreless ninth inning. The 36-year-old is firmly locked into being Boston's closer in 2024, posting a 1.69 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 14 strikeouts over 10.2 innings in 11 appearances while going 5-for-6 on save opportunities so far. • Slams door for 11th save
Finnegan walked one batter during one scoreless inning to pick up the save Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Finnegan has not allowed an earned run over his last 13 appearances and converted his 10th straight save opportunity for the surprising Nationals, who moved to .500 on the season with the win. Finnegan now carries a 1.88 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with his 11 total saves, matching Clay Holmes and Ryan Helsley for the major-league lead in that department. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:30 pm

    • Impressive over six innings
Crochet (2-4) earned the win after he pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out six batters in Sunday's 5-1 victory over the Cardinals.

Advice: Crochet was able to make it back-to-back strong outings Sunday, limiting the Cardinals to just one run on a fourth-inning solo home run by Willson Contreras. The left-hander secured his first quality start since April 3 in the win and he has now allowed just three runs over 11 innings in his last two outings. Crochet will carry a 5.31 ERA and 11.7 K/9 into his next projected start Friday at home versus the Guardians. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:26 pm

    • Garrett Crochet fans six in victory over Cardinals
Garrett Crochet picked up his second victory of the season on Sunday afternoon, striking out six batters over six innings of one-run baseball against the Cardinals.

Advice: The 24-year-old southpaw scattered just three hits on the afternoon and didn’t walk a batter. The lone blemish on his day came on a solo blast off the bat of Willson Contreras in the fourth inning. Aside from that, he was brilliant. Crochet generated eight swings and misses on 88 pitches on the day — four of those on his cutter — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 2-4 on the season, he’ll carry a 5.31 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and a 53/9 K/BB ratio (40 2/3 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Guardians. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:17 pm

    • Will pitch Sunday
Jansen, who hasn't pitched the last six days, will be used in Sunday's game against the Twins, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: The Red Sox have a day off Monday and will prevent Jansen from the absence extending any further, so the closer is expected to pitch one way or another. He's pitched just once over the last nine days. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:37 am

    • Notches sixth save
Doval earned a save against the Red Sox on Thursday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

Advice: Doval entered in the bottom of the ninth with a two-run lead and retired the side in order on 14 pitches. He's given up just two runs over 11 innings since a rough season debut against San Diego on March 30. Doval is locked in as the Giants' closer, as he's now 6-for-6 in save opportunities with a 3.09 ERA on the campaign. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:27 pm

    • Camilo Doval picks up sixth save against Red Sox
Camilo Doval struck out a batter in a scoreless inning of work while picking up a save Thursday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Doval is now up to six saves on the season. The right-hander didn’t allow a hit while picking up a strikeout, and he pounded the zone with 11-of-14 pitches going for strikes. Doval has had some shaky moments in 2024, but the right-hander remains locked into a closing role for a team that should provide plenty of opportunities. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:16 pm

    • Strikes out side for 10th save
Finnegan picked up the save over the Rangers on Wednesday, striking out the side in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: The right-hander took over in the bottom of the ninth with a 1-0 lead and ran right through the Rangers lineup, retiring all three batters on swinging strikeouts to secure his 10th save of the season, tying him with Ryan Helsley, Robert Suarez and Clay Holmes for the league lead. Finnegan has successfully converted each of his last nine save attempts and hasn't allowed a hit over his last eight appearances (spanning eight innings), posting a 9:1 K:BB over that stretch. Wednesday also marked his first time this season in which he struck out the side. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:55 am
