    • Homers twice Wednesday
Garcia went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk, three total runs and four total RBI in Wednesday's 7-5 win against the Mets.

Advice: Garcia hit a three-run shot in the sixth inning and added a solo blast in the eighth. It was the second multi-homer game of the infielder's career, and the four RBI tied a season-high mark. Garcia has already matched the career-high total of nine long balls he accumulated last year, and he's 10 shy of his career-best mark of 50 RBI, which he also reached last season. • Notches 23rd save
Finnegan earned a save against the Mets on Wednesday with a perfect inning of work.

Advice: Finnegan protected a two-run, ninth-inning lead by retiring the side in order on 11 pitches. The right-hander has converted 10 of his past 11 save chances and has allowed just four runs over 17.1 innings during that span. Finnegan has been one of MLB's best closers this season, ranking third in the league with 23 saves while posting a 1.98 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB over 36.1 frames. • Cal Raleigh blasts solo homer in loss to O’s
Cal Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Raleigh’s solo homer in the sixth inning off Keegan Akin provided the only offense the Mariners could muster on Wednesday against Baltimore. The 27-year-old backstop is hitting .201/.288/.394 with 15 homers, 51 RBI, and four steals across 313 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:42 pm

    • Dominant in Wednesday's win
Sale (11-3) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings to earn the win over the Giants on Wednesday.

Advice: Sale has allowed just one run in each of his last three starts, though he was unlucky to come away with just two wins in that span. His 11 wins rank first in the National League, and Sale is tied with Kansas City's Seth Lugo for the major-league lead. Sale is now at a 2.71 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 127:19 K:BB through 99.2 innings over 16 starts this season. The southpaw's next start is projected to be on the road in Arizona. • Chris Sale’s dominance continues against Giants
Chris Sale struck out nine batters across six innings in a 3-1 win over the Giants on Wednesday while allowing just one run. He walked two batters and earned his league-leading 11th win of the season.

Advice: Once again, Sale was magnificent in this start. The Giants were helpless against his vaunted slider as it earned five swings-and-misses and an additional 12 called strikes. He was ahead in the count all night and showed a willingness to use that slider in whatever count he needed it. His 11th win tied Seth Lugo for the league lead and he could be well on his way to his first Cy Young award at 35-years-old. What a remarkable season it’s been for Sale. • Luis García Jr. smacks two home runs in win
Luis García Jr. went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored, and a walk in the Nationals’ 7-5 win over the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: This was and second multi-homer game in García’s and each one was mightily important to the Nationals’ victory. His first was a moonshot off a hanging Christian Scott sweeper that cut the Mets’ lead from 5-1 to 5-4 and his next provided a valuable insurance run in the eighth inning. The two home runs pushed García to nine on the season, already tying his career-best mark set last season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:36 pm

    • Kyle Finnegan shuts down Mets for save
Kyle Finnegan worked a clean ninth inning on Wednesday to earn the save against the Mets.

Advice: Finnegan earned his 23rd save of the season, third most in the league, on Wednesday night. He looked sharp as he worked his third consecutive game and dropped his ERA down to 1.98. He’s been one of the most reliable closers in baseball so far this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:35 pm

    • Rejoining lineup Wednesday
Martinez (ankle) will be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The 36-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine due to ankle soreness, which apparently surfaced because he was forced to try out a new pair of cleats. Martinez has since received another shipment of his usual cleats and shouldn't have any issues going forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:35 pm

    • J.D. Martinez (ankle) returns to lineup Wednesday
J.D. Martinez (ankle) returned to the Mets’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s battle against the Nationals.

Advice: Martinez was scratched from the team’s starting lineup on Tuesday due to soreness in his left ankle — that he got from having to use cleats that were emergency ordered from Amazon. Fortunately, Adidas sent him a couple of pairs before his regular shipment is scheduled to arrive, so he should be good to go on Wednesday. The 36-year-old slugger got off to a slow start with the Mets but has been killing it lately. On the season, he’s slashing .278/.360/.493 with 10 homers and 37 RBI in 56 games.
