    • Carlos Estévez locks down save against Giants
Carlos Estévez go the final three outs to get a save against the Giants on Friday.

Advice: It didn’t look like Estévez was going to be necessary Friday night, but an 8-1 cushion turned into an 8-6 game, so the 31-year-old was called upon to convert his 11th save. The 31-year-old didn’t allow a hit, struck out one hitter and threw 12-of-17 pitches in the strike zone. Estévez should continue to see save chances as long as he’s a member of the Angels, but keep in mind a trade — very possible with Los Angels going nowhere — would likely make him a set-up hurler; severely limiting his fantasy upside. • Notches save Friday
Iglesias recorded one out to earn a save over the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Iglesias came into the game with two runners on base and two outs. He quickly finished the 7-3 win with just three pitches. He's now converted 10 straight saves and is 18 for 20 in save chances this season. Iglesias is sporting a 2.10 ERA with a 17:5 K:BB. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:11 pm
    • Raisel Iglesias grabs 18th save
Raisel Iglesias got one out on three pitches to earn the save on Friday night in the Braves’ win over the Rays.

Advice: Iglesias was called upon after Dylan Lee got into trouble in the ninth inning and earned the save after throwing just three pitches. It’s been a bizarre season for Iglesias with a 2.10 ERA and just a 16.9 K%. Beware of possible regression coming. Rotoworld Friday, 7:05 pm
    • Playing catch Friday
Romano (elbow) threw from 90 feet Friday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Romano resumed his throwing program Monday and has already been stretched out to 90 feet. The 31-year-old has been brought along slowly since being placed on the 15-day IL with elbow inflammation and it's unclear if he'll require a rehab assignment at this point. Yimi Garcia has earned three saves since Romano went down and should continue to operate as Toronto's closer in Romano's absence. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:11 pm

    • Raisel Iglesias gets 17th save against Orioles
Raisel Iglesias picked up his 17th save with a scoreless ninth against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Even though the Braves are struggling to score, Iglesias has had easier save chances than most closers; this was the ninth of his 19 save chances (17 successful) in which he’s come in with a three-run lead and the bases empty. He’s entered with a one-run lead just three times. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:01 pm
    • Collects 17th save
Iglesias allowed one hit while tossing a scoreless ninth inning to collect the save Thursday against the Orioles.

Advice: Iglesias hit the first batter he faced, then allowed a one-out single but settled down to record the final two outs and pick up his 17th save in 19 attempts. Iglesias has only allowed one run over his last nine outings since May 17, with each appearance lasting exactly one inning. He's gone 7-for-7 in save opportunities over that span. • Jordan Romano (elbow) resumes throwing
Jordan Romano resumed throwing the last two days and could get back on a mound later this week.

Advice: Romano, out with elbow inflammation, is eligible to come the IL on Saturday, but there are no plans to activate him then. If everything goes well, he could be back before the end of the month. Rotoworld Monday, 4:04 pm

    • Picks up win Sunday
Estevez (1-3) got the win over the Astros on Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning and striking out a batter in the process.

Advice: Estevez was tasked with preserving a tie game, and did so without any trouble, sending the Astros hitters down in order on 12 pitches. He wound up as the winning pitcher after the Angels walked it off in the bottom of the ninth thanks to a two-run homer from Logan O'Hoppe. Estevez now has four consecutive scoreless appearances during which he's compiled three saves and a win. For the year, the 31-year-old has 10 saves to go with a 4.05 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB in 20 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:43 am
    • Set to resume throwing program
Romano (elbow) is expected to resume throwing Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: The right-hander will throw from flat ground and stretch out to 150 feet before beginning mound work. The Blue Jays are proceeding cautiously with their closer after he received an anti-inflammatory injection June 2, but Romano might still be able to avoid a rehab stint before being activated from the injured list.
